Text: John 8:36, Ephesians 2:4-9, Acts 4:12, Colossians 2:13-15
Tonight we gather in the presence of the living God. Not a God made by human hands. Not a God who needs our money or our performance. Not a God who hides from the broken or favors only the strong. We have come before the God who saves through grace. The God who sets captives free. The God who shakes kingdoms and breaks chains.
When Jesus steps into a place, darkness trembles. Spirits that tormented families for generations lose their grip. Fear collapses. Shame lifts. Lies get exposed. And every person who calls on the name of the Lord is saved.
Ghana, hear me. There is only one gospel that saves. There is only one name that breaks chains. There is only one Lord who has the power to bring you from death to life. His name is Jesus.
POINT ONE. FAKE GOSPELS BRING HEAVY BURDENS
Many here have heard messages that were not the gospel at all. Some were told that if they perform enough rituals, God will notice them. Others were told that if they give enough money, they will unlock blessings. Some were told that salvation comes from long prayers or perfect obedience.
All of these ideas place chains on your soul.
If your hope is in your works, you will never rest. If your hope is in religion, you will never feel clean enough. If your hope is in a preacher, your faith will crumble the moment he disappoints you.
Ephesians 2 tells us the truth. We were dead in sin. Not sick. Not weak. Dead. Dead people cannot save themselves. Only God, rich in mercy, can lift a dead soul to life.
The false gospels of human effort only add weight to weary hearts. They make God seem far away. They trap you in fear. They rob you of joy.
Tonight God wants to lift the burden from your shoulders.
POINT TWO. JESUS ALONE HAS THE POWER TO SAVE
Acts 4 says there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. Not the name of a prophet. Not the name of a church. Not the name of a pastor. Only Jesus.
Colossians 2 says that when Jesus died on the cross, He canceled the record of our sin. He stripped spiritual rulers of their power. He exposed the enemy to open shame. He destroyed the weapons used against you.
Tonight, chains will break. Not because you try harder, but because Jesus already conquered sin and death. Not because you prove yourself, but because the blood of Christ speaks a better word than your past.
If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.
POINT THREE. THE GOSPEL CALLS YOU TO TURN AND LIVE
Jesus does not ask you to climb your way up to Him. He comes to you. He steps into your broken places. He calls you by name. But He does call you to turn from your old life and trust Him completely.
Repentance is not punishment. It is freedom. It is the moment you step out of the prison cell. It is the moment you lay down every idol and surrender to the King who loves you.
Some of you have tried religion but have never truly surrendered. You have prayed words but never given Jesus your heart. Tonight the Lord is calling you out of the shadows. Out of fear. Out of shame. Out of dead works.
Tonight, choose life.
POINT FOUR. INVITATION FOR SALVATION AND DELIVERANCE
Lift your eyes to Jesus. He is here to save. He is here to restore. He is here to heal sick bodies and break spiritual chains.
In Ghana, the people of God know how to pray. You know how to call on the name of the Lord. So lift your voice. Cry out to the Savior.
I want every person who is bound by sin or fear or shame to lift your hand. Jesus sees you. Tonight is your night of freedom.
Now pray with me.
Jesus, I come to You in faith. I cannot save myself. I turn from my old life. I believe You died for me and rose again. I ask You to break every chain, forgive every sin, and fill me with Your Spirit. I give You my life. I belong to You now.
Amen.
PRAYER FOR HEALING AND DELIVERANCE
Now in the name of Jesus, I speak freedom over every captive. Spirit of fear, go. Spirit of torment, go. Every sickness in the body, be healed. Every heavy burden, lift now in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, pour out Your Spirit on this field. Restore families. Break generational bondage. Release joy. Release boldness. Release new life.
Jesus has triumphed. The chains are broken. Walk in the freedom He has purchased for you.
