Intro

Honor pastors.
I turned 32 this year and something feels different. What I once found fun in just doesn’t feel as fun. Maybe God is using a very hard year to prune somethings off of me. I more content than I’ve ever been and that is somehow stirring up a feeling of striving for more. Someone asked me something that I haven't been asked in years, “where do you see yourself in 10 years” I think that there's an age where one hears that question less and less because to the world you have less and less to look forward to. That's what world might think that but my God does not agree.

Don’t Forget What God Says (Slide 1)

God wants to speak to everyone's situations tonight. I felt like God wanted us to look at Joseph who is a pretty unique figure in the bible because we get to took at his life in very great detail. We actually no more or less what josephs up to for a majority of his life. People like Moses, David, and even Jesus theres portions where we don't hear about them for quite some time Josephs a little different in the sense that we can follow him from the age of 17 to at least 37 maybe even as old as 44. Then we get to read what might be his last words at 110 years old. Also there's evidence that this is one of the earliest people to operate in the spirit.

God is with us

Genesis 39 1

it was God’s will that this happened to Joseph but God will use any unfair situation we are in foo HIs glory
I talk about this almost everytime but God used my cancer to humble me make me realize there is an intelligent creator.
Pastor Shayla was the first person i remember to pint this out but how did the battle of david and goliath ultimately end? David used his enemys sword to cut off his head.
Maybe that's why God in psalms 23: 5 prepares a table in the midst of our enemies because when God is with us like Joseph every enemy that's at the table actually hand delivered us a weapon that only will not prevail against us but we will use those weapons to ensure the gates of hell won’t prevail.

psalms 23:5 You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies;

you anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.
