Why did Jesus become a Baby?

The first point is that Jesus is God!

John 1:1 “ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.” 

John 1:14 : “14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Second Point: Jesus had, and always, did have a glorious and unbroken fellowship with God the Father.

John 1:18: “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”

John Piper: “Jesus’ relationship with the Father is characterized by an extraordinary, eternal, and intimate divine fellowship that transcends human understanding. Christ has always existed as God, eternally begotten by the Father.”

Why then did Jesus come down out of heaven, enjoying all that glory, to become a baby in the manger?   

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”   

Jesus was our “Lamb of God”, read John 1: 29. “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
