Prover 16:3 Businesses, blessings, salvation, favor

Happy 2026 Grace family. My name is April Lemley and today we are going to pray over your businesses. We are praying for blessings and favor and for the love of Christ to be seen and shared.

But first I have a quick question for you.

Did you grow up with a parent, a grandparent or maybe even a coach say, “If you think you CAN’T, you WON’T”

I did! Growing up, my daddy always said that to us girls.

I get it….this is a great motivating mindset, and it is deep within me so I am driven by “I think I CAN, therefore, I WILL”

Now, This can be a problem though.

With this mindset, we tend to make things happen in our own strength, now making things happen is not a bad thing, but could our businesses could go to another level if we included God?

Our verse for the day is Proverbs 16:3 Share your plans WITH the Lord, and you will succeed. CEV (Contemporary English Version)

It doesn’t say share your plans WITH your business partner, WITH your spouse, or WITH your board of directors. Now that may be smart but the supreme power for the blessings and favor lies in the hands of the Supreme, all powerful, all knowing, sovereign God of the universe.

If you truly commit to doing business this way this year, God will bring about success.

The wisdom in this verse reminds us to share our plans with the Lord and He will go with us as a companion, as a business partner and HE will bring about success.

When we choose to partner WITH God, we allow Him to be strong where we are weak, we allow Him to decide what doors to open and which ones to close. We allow opportunity for His blessings and favor to flow freely in and through our businesses.

Instead of saying “Look at what I did this year.” We get to say, “Look what God did this year”

Sure, let’s still bring our talents to the tables but FIRST at this FIRST of this new year let’s choose to partner WITH God.

Let’s share our business plans WITH the Lord.

Let’s surrender our business ventures to the Lord this year.

Let’s let God be God.

Throughout the day today continue to ask yourself, have I included God in my business plans for this year?

Share your plans WITH the Lord, and pray for Him to bring His power into those plans.

Let’s pray.

Father God, We thank you for the blessings our businesses bring to us. We thank you for your provision and your desire to help us succeed. Today Lord, we surrender our plans to you and ask for you to bring supernatural power into our businesses. Bring favor, bring blessings, and allow the love of Christ to be seen in how we do business. Thank you for bringing about success. We love you and we trust you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
