PRAY

TODAY WE ARE COVERING MORE PROPHESIES ABOUT THE MESSIAH, THE PROMISED REDEEMER.

# 1 IT WAS FORETOLD ABOUT 2000 YRS BEFORE, THAT THE SAME PLACE WHERE ABRAHAM WAS TESTED TO SACRIFICE ISAAC WOULD BE THE PLACE WHERE “IT”(THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SIN) WOULD BE PROVIDED- GEN 22:14  Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the LORD will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.

IT WAS FULFILLED IN LUKE 23:33 -33 When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on his right and one on his left.

# 2 IT WAS FORETOLD ABOUT 1000 YRS BEFORE HE DIED , THAT THE MESSIAH WOULD NOT ROT IN THE EARTH AS ALL THE DEAD DO BUT THAT HE WOULD BE RESURECTED - PSALM 16:8-10 8 I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. 9 No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. 10 For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.

FULFILLED - MATT 28:6- He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. 7 And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”

# 3 IT WAS FORETOLD THAT THE MESSIAH WOULD BE ABANDONED- PSALM 22:11- 11 Do not stay so far from me, for trouble is near, and no one else can help me

IT WAS FULFILLED IN MARK 14:50-52- 50 Then all his disciples deserted him and ran away. 51 One young man following behind was clothed only in a long linen shirt. When the mob tried to grab him, 52 he slipped out of his shirt and ran away naked.

# 4 IT WAS FORETOLD THAT THE MESSIAH’S HEART WOULD BURST , FLOWING WITH WATER IN PSALM 22:14 -KJV I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted in the midst of my bowels

IT WAS FULFILLED IN JOHN 19:34 -34 One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out. 35 (This report is from an eyewitness giving an accurate account. He speaks the truth so that you also may continue to believe.

# 5 IT WAS FORETOLD THAT THE MESSIAH WOULD DIE BY CRUCIFICTION ABOUT 1000 YRS BEFORE IT WAS ESTABLISHED AS AN EXCEPTED FORM OF EXICUTION. -PSALM 22:16 My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet.

WE SEE IT PROVED OUT IN JOHN 20:24-28 -24 One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), was not with the others when Jesus came. 25 They told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.” 26 Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!” 28 “My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed. 29 Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.

ALSO- MATT 27:38 -Two revolutionaries were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

# 6 IT WAS FORETOLD THAT THE MESSIAH WOULD NOT ONLY BE CRUCIFIED BUT THAT HE WOULD BE WHIPPED - ISA 53:5 - But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

IT WAS FULFILLED MATT 27:26-So Pilate released Barabbas to them. He ordered Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip, then turned him over to the Roman soldiers to be crucified.

# 7 IT WAS FORETOLD -THAT THE MESSIAH WOULD BEAR MY SINS -ISA 53:11-When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.

IT WAS RECORDED AS FULFILLED IN HEB 9:28 - so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

# 8 IT WAS FORETOLD THAT HE WOULD LAID IN A RICH MANS GRAVE- ISA 53:9 -He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave.

IT WAS FULFILLED IN MATT 27:57-60 - As evening approached, Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea who had become a follower of Jesus, 58 went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. And Pilate issued an order to release it to him. 59 Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a long sheet of clean linen cloth. 60 He placed it in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance and left.

# 9 IT WAS FORETOLD - THAT HIS CLOTHING WOULD BE GAMBLED FOR - PSALM 22:18 -They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing.

IT WAS FULFILLED - JOHN 19:23-24 -When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided his clothes among the four of them. They also took his robe, but it was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. 24 So they said, “Rather than tearing it apart, let’s throw dice for it.” This fulfilled the Scripture that says, “They divided my garments among themselves and threw dice for my clothing.” So that is what they did.

#10 IT WAS FORETOLD - THAT NONE OF HIS BONES WOULD BE BROKEN -PSALM 34:20- -He keepeth all his bones: Not one of them is broken.

IT WAS PROVED OUT IN-JOHN 19:31-36 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: 34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. 36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken

# 11 IT WAS FORETOLD - THAT HIS SACRIFICE WOULD END ALL SACRIFICES -PSALM 40:6-8 -Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; Mine ears hast thou opened: Burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. 7  Then said I, Lo, I come: In the volume of the book it is written of me, 8  I delight to do thy will, O my God: Yea, thy law is within my heart.

FULFILLED IN - HEB 10:7-10 -Then I said, ‘Look, I have come to do your will, O God— as is written about me in the Scriptures.’ ” 8 First, Christ said, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or burnt offerings or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them” (though they are required by the law of Moses). 9 Then he said, “Look, I have come to do your will.” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect. 10 For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.

ALSO MATT 27:50-54- 50 Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. 51 At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, 52 and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. 53 They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people. 54 The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”

# 12 IT WAS FORETOLD THE MESSIAH WOULD CALL GOD HIS FATHER - PSALM 89:26-27 -And he will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’ 27 I will make him my firstborn son, the mightiest king on earth.

IT WAS FULFILLED IN - MATT 11:27- 27 “My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

# 13 IT WAS FORETOLD - THAT THE MESSIAH WOULD BE THE CREATOR OF ALL -PSALM 102:25 -25 Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.

IT WAS FULFILLED - JOHN 1:1-3 -In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

# 14 IT WAS FORETOLD - THAT WHOEVER WOULD NOT LISTEN TO THIS PROPHET WOULD BE JUDGED - DEUT 18:15-18- Moses continued, “The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. 16 For this is what you yourselves requested of the LORD your God when you were assembled at Mount Sinai. You said, ‘Don’t let us hear the voice of the LORD our God anymore or see this blazing fire, for we will die.’ 17 “Then the LORD said to me, ‘What they have said is right. 18 I will raise up a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell the people everything I command him. 19 I will personally deal with anyone who will not listen to the messages the prophet proclaims on my behalf.

IT WAS PROCLAIMED BY JESUS - JOHN 12:46-50 -46 I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. 47 I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. 48 But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken. 49 I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50 And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.

THIS SUMS UP 33 PROPHESIES ABOUT THE MESSIAH COMING INTO THIS WORLD, STATISTITIONS PREDICT THAT IT WOULD BE FAR EASIER TO RANDOMLY SELECT 1 PARTICULAR ATOM OUT OF ALL THE ATOMS IN THE ENTIRE OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE THAN FOR 1 MAN TO FULFILL JUST 33 PROPHESIES ABOUT THE MESSIAH.

NOW THIS IS A LARGE , LARGE # JUST SO YOU HAVE A POINT OF REFERENCE - THERE IS FAR MORE ATOMS IN THE AVERAGE HUMAN BODY THAN ALL THE GRAINS OF SAND ON ALL THE BEACHES ON THE ENTIRE EARTH!!! LET THAT SINK IN.....

JESUS FULFILLED FAR MORE THAN 33 PROPHESIES - JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL! HE IS THE 1 FORETOLD TO COME AND REPAIR THE SEPARATION BETWEEN GOD & MAN, YOU CAN PUT YOUR FAITH IN THE FACT THAT JESUS IS THE 1 WHO WAS TO COME .

BECAUSE HE IS THE 1 FORETOLD FOR ALMOST 6,OOO YRS THAT WOULD RECONCILE US TO GOD , YOU CAN TRUST HIS WORDS RECORDED IN THE BIBLE. WE SHOULD PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO HIS WORDS & THEY ARE ALL HIS WORDS 2 TIM 3:16 - -16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
