Christmas Day: The Savior Has Come

Christmas Day is not simply the celebration of a birth—it is the celebration of a fulfilled promise.

Last night we remembered the miracle.

Today, we rejoice in the meaning.

Luke 2:11 declares,

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Notice—a Savior.

Not a philosopher.

Not a teacher alone.

Not a moral example.

A Savior.

Christmas Day reminds us that Jesus did not come merely to inspire us—He came to redeem us.

Galatians 4:4–5 tells us,

“When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son… to redeem those who were under the law.”

This means God was never late.

The timing was perfect.

The plan was complete.

The mission was clear.

Jesus came to rescue humanity from sin, separation, and death.

And Christmas Day announces: He succeeded.

John 1:12 says,

“As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God.”

Christmas is not about what we give to God—

It’s about what God has given to us.

Hope was given.

Grace was given.

Salvation was given.

The manger points us to the cross.

The swaddling cloths point us to the grave clothes.

And the birth of Jesus points us to the resurrection life we now walk in.

Isaiah 9:6 proclaims,

“And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

That peace is not seasonal—it is eternal.

That joy is not temporary—it is anchored in Christ.

Christmas Day is a declaration:

God kept His word.

Love won.

Light prevailed.

So today, we don’t just remember Jesus—we receive Him again.

We walk in His life.

We live in His victory.

We proclaim His name.

Because Christmas Day declares to the world:

The Savior has come—and He is still changing lives today.

Christmas Day: The Savior Has Come

Christmas Day marks the triumphant celebration of God’s fulfilled promise to humanity.

Jesus Christ was born not merely to be admired, but to redeem, restore, and reconcile us back to God. His coming was planned from eternity past and revealed at the perfect moment in history.

Scripture tells us,

“When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son” (Galatians 4:4).

Christmas Day reminds us that salvation is not earned—it is received. Through Christ, we are no longer separated, no longer bound, and no longer without hope.

Jesus is Emmanuel—God with us—and because He came, we now walk in grace, forgiveness, and eternal life.

This Christmas Day, may your heart be filled with gratitude, your spirit anchored in truth, and your life transformed by the Savior who has come.

Declaration

I declare that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord.

I receive the fullness of salvation, peace, and joy that He came to give.

I walk today in the victory of Christ, redeemed and restored by His grace.

Because Jesus lives, I live in hope, freedom, and purpose.

Prayer

Father God,

Thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Thank You that through Him, salvation has come and hope has been restored.

Today, I rejoice in Your faithfulness and receive anew the life You have given me.

Let the joy of the Lord be my strength, the peace of Christ rule my heart, and the love of God flow through my life.

I give You all the glory for the Savior who has come.
