Title: Follow the Light to the Saviour

Key Texts (NIV):

Matthew 2:2 – “We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Introduction (Authoritative, Clear)

Listen carefully.
On the night Jesus was born, God did not remain silent. He placed a star in the sky—not for decoration, but for direction. That star did not entertain the wise men; it guided them. It pointed them to one place, one person—the Saviour.

Point 1: God Always Provides Light to Those Who Seek Him

The wise men were not Jews. They were not priests. But they were seekers.
And to those who seek sincerely, God always gives light.
The star was heaven’s announcement:
“The Saviour has come.”
God has never expected people to find Him in darkness. He always provides a way.

Point 2: The Star Was Temporary, but the Word Is Eternal

Now listen very carefully.
The star appeared once. It disappeared after its purpose was fulfilled. But today, God has given us something greater than a star.
He has given us His Word.
📖 “Your word is a lamp for my feet, and a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
The star guided them to Jesus once. The Bible guides us to Jesus every day.
If you want to know:
who Jesus is
why He came
where salvation is
You will not find it in the sky— You will find it in the Word of God.

Point 3: Carol Songs Are the Voice of Good News

Why do we sing carols?
We do not sing to show our voices. We do not sing to disturb homes. We sing because we carry good news.
Just like the star pointed to Christ, our carol songs point to Christ.
Let me say this clearly:
We are not the star
The song is not the Saviour
Jesus alone is the destination
Our singing says one message:
“The Saviour has come.”

Conclusion

The wise men followed the light they were given— and it led them to Jesus.
Tonight, you have heard the song. You have heard the message. You have seen the light.
If you follow the light God gives, you will always find the Saviour.

Closing Blessing

May the light of Christ shine in this home. May peace enter every heart. May the Saviour be found by all who seek Him.
