True Worship Only

Canaanites practiced ritual prostitution and infant sacrifice under the guise of worship to gods like Molech and Baal

John 4:23 “23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
We have been programmed to believe that Worship is a type:
Form - Sound - Dance - Music - Doctrine - Tradition
But True Worship is what we desire, an experience like never before in the Presence of God that provokes Heaven to move and Deliverance to be realized - John 4:28–30 “28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” 30 Then they went out of the city and came to Him.
In His Presence, I will forget the “many things” surrendering myself to His Will!
I will leave that other stuff aside and seek Him! What are you needing to leave?
Truth be told, I believe we have missed the hours, but we won’t any longer! We not just looking to maintain a tradition, but seeking His Presence - An Extraordinary Worship! No more empty Worship knowing we serve The Most High God Who daily loads us with benefits (how am I empty?)- You have a reason to Praise Him!
True Worship requires full participation, and when you have too many (distractions) things with you when entering His Gates, you interrupt Worship!
The woman had too many things (five husbands) which was interrupting her Worship - causing her to believe that she cannot enter into Worship because of what she has done (John 4:9 “9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) but because she was true - Jesus blessed her!
True Worship requires Presence, not performance!
Don’t fool yourself thinking that you have gotten it right always too - better now to admit the folly and surrender all to His Will!
For The Will of God must be done - Exodus 19:5 “5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
Obedience is much greater - We may as well do just what He says! The song writer said: “That’s when He blessed me!”
Worship brings knowledge of who I am!
Deuteronomy 7:6 “6 “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.
True Worship is what The Father seeks, and because The People allowed themselves to be moved away from True Worship by external influences - Deuteronomy 7:4 “4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the Lord will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly.”
I now know that God did not send Jesus, His Only Begotten Son into the world to only save the world, but to restore Worship to Him!
God created man for the purpose of Worship to Him - 2 Corinthians 5:18–19 “18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Jesus didn’t come only to save us from sin. He came to restore us to worship, restore us to relationship, restore us to the Father. Salvation is the doorway. Worship is the destination.
Salvation is the rescue - Worship is the Restoration!
God’s goal was never just to get us out of sin — it was to bring us back into relationship, alignment, and adoration to Him.
Google don’t just redirect you when you make a wrong turn, but align you on the path to your destination!
The Samaritan Woman was out of worship to God, but Jesus told her somethings concerning her that cause her to change direction!
I am no longer entering into The Presence of God and not go into True Worship! No, not me! This is not about “going to church” this is not about the preaching, prophesying, singing, playing the music - It is all about Worship To God! Sincerely!
Worship (Worthy ship) Is about expressing reverence and adoration to The Only Wise God - Our Father! Entering into His Gates with thanksgiving in a posture of total surrender - bowed down in His Presence - After Worship - Change takes place!
There are results after True Worship!
My attitude has changed!
My Confidence has increased!
No longer am I ashamed - No longer will I be bound by the assumption of others feelings about me (and you can say you don’t, but let a man examine himself), I will say what God says - and do what God has instructed me because I seek to Worship Him!
But Jesus restored us back to True Worship:
Removing the distance that sin created
Giving us a right to have The Mind of Christ, which gives us Peace!
Providing access to The Holies of Holy - In The Presence of God! Ripping the veil from top to bottom - Romans 5:1–2 “1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
John 10:35–36 “35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?”
We want The Will of God to be done in our lives, but do we consider the cost? Because it will cost you to walk in His Will!
When Jesus saves, He doesn’t just change your destination. He changes your orientation.
You stop facing sin. You start facing Him.
You stop living for self. You start living in surrender.
You stop being a spectator. You become a worshiper.
Too long we have allowed the religion to govern our worship - but no longer, we are awakened to The Truth now and know that that my Worship is True!
This is why your spirit is awakening to this truth right now — because God is aligning your identity with your assignment.
Religion can guide me, but only the Presence can transform me.
Tradition can remind me, but only surrender can align me.
Lip service can impress people, but only worship touches God.
What Jesus did on Golgotha hill was True Worship to God!
THE REAL BATTLE: THE INNER-ME
Spiritual warfare is not only the enemy’s attack. Often, the greatest battle is within:
Shame
Identity
Cycles
Internal noise
The flesh resisting the Spirit The Holy Spirit is willing, gentle, and guiding —but He waits for surrender.
III. THE WOMAN AT THE WELL: A PICTURE OF RESTORATION
1. Jesus addresses her inner conflict
He reveals truth not to condemn, but to heal. He quiets the inner derision so she can hear God’s direction.
2. She begins with religion
“Our fathers worshiped on this mountain…” She is focused on tradition, location, and ritual.
3. Jesus brings revelation
“The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth.”
He shifts her from:
Religion → Relationship
Tradition → Transformation
Lipservice → Surrender
Location → Revelation
4. Jesus reconciles her to God
He reveals Himself as the Messiah to her — not to a priest, not to a Pharisee, but to a broken woman ready to worship.
5. Worship produces witness
She leaves her waterpot, runs into the city, and revival begins.
IV. RELIGION VS. TRUE WORSHIP
Religion is not all bad — but when tradition replaces transformation, it becomes a barrier.
Jesus said: “These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.”
True worship requires:
Surrender
Alignment
Spirit-to-Spirit connection
A heart open to God’s presence
V. WHAT TRUE WORSHIP LOOKS LIKE
True worship is not performance — it is posture.
It is:
Spirit → to → Spirit
Surrendered, not scripted
Internal alignment, not external ritual
The fruit of reconciliation
Saved people believe. Reconciled people worship.
VI. HOW TO WALK AS A TRUE WORSHIPER
1. Quiet the inner-me
Silence shame, fear, and internal accusation.
2. Yield to the Holy Spirit
He dwells, guides, reveals, and leads — but He will not force.
3. Move from tradition to transformation
Don’t just attend church — enter His presence. Don’t just sing — surrender. Don’t just follow rituals — follow the Spirit.
4. Live as a reconciled worshiper
Walk in restored identity, restored fellowship, and restored purpose.
VII. DECLARATION
Lord, quiet the derision within me so I can hear Your direction. Align my inner-me with the Spirit-led me. Jesus, You restored me to worship. Through You, I am reconciled, restored, and returned to the Father. Make me a worshiper in spirit and in truth. Amen.
