A Christmas to Believe in

The birth of Jesus never left people neutral.

Some worshiped. Some wondered. Some resisted. Some tried to kill Him.

But no one stayed unchanged.

OH COME ON.....

IS THERE ANYBODY HERE THAT HAS BEEN CHANGED BY JESUS CHRIST???

Jesus did not come merely to be admired —

He comes to be received or rejected.

WATCH THIS

Matthew 2:1–3 NIV

1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” 3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.

The same Child that brought joy to shepherds

brought fear to a king.

Why?

Because Jesus didn’t just come to save individuals —

He came to dismantle rival thrones.

OH MY LORD...I AM SO THANKFUL THAT

HE HAS NO RIVAL

HE HAS NO EQUAL

NOW AND FOREVER GOD, HE REIGNS

OH COME ON SOMEBODY....

Herod wasn’t afraid of a baby —

he was afraid of losing control.

Jesus doesn’t threaten what you own —

He threatens what you rule.

OH COME ON.....

WE ALL LIKE TO HAVE CONTROL OF OUR LIVES

WHAT IS IT IN YOUR LIFE THAT IS KEEPING YOU FROM MAKING A COMITTMENT?

WHAT IN YOUR LIFE ARE YOU STRUGGLING TO GIVE CONTROL TO HIM OF

I PROMISE YOU THIS....IF YOU SURRENDER AND TRUST HIM

HE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT

HE IS FAITHFUL

11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS IS SAYING???

THAT NO MATTER WHETHER YOU GREW UP IN CHURCH

OR CAME FORM A FAMILY WHO SERVED GOD

IT DOESN’T MATTER IF HAVE LIVED A LIFE OF ABSOLUTE MORAL FAILURE

THIS PASSAGE MEANS....

THAT IF YOU ARE WILLING AND AVAILABLE...

IF YOU BELIEVE IN HIS NAME AND RECIEVE HIM AS LORD AND SAVIOR OF YOUR LIFE

IT MEANS....HE GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD

THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS

FRIENDS.....YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT.....

Christmas exposes hearts.

The same Christ:

Comforted the humble

BUT ALSO.....Confronted the proud

You don’t encounter Jesus and stay the same.

You can’t admire Him as a baby —

BECAUSE...He demands lordship as a King.

You can NOT sing about Him at Christmas and ignore Him the rest of the year.

JESUS did not come to decorate your life — He comes to dominate it.

📖 LUKE 2:34–35

Luke 2:34–35 NIV

34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

Not everyone rises when Jesus comes —

some fall because they refuse to surrender.

AMEN???

..........STAND TO YOUR FEET................

YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN A GIFT....

THE QUESTION THIS SEASON IS THIS...

“What will you do with Him?”

Will you:

Receive Him?

Surrender to Him?

Submit to Him?

Or WILL YOU keep Him small,

safe,

and silent?
