DAY 1 PRAY OR FAINT

Luke 18:1 KJV 1900
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
The subject of prayer is a very deep one, with many amazing resources available from many amazing men and women of prayer, though it is a matter that should be studied it is something that should the more be explored rather than explained we learn to pray by praying.
To a child of God pray is as breathing, a natural sign of life, today we are going to explore what the Lord who is the one that formed man.Genesis 2:7 had to say about the subject of prayer.
1)NECCESITY OF PRAYER
He said that “men ought” We were wired for fellowship pray is what seperates humans from any other creature if you are a human being prayer is a neccesity so if you believe that you can survive without it you do not meet the biblical criteria of a human.
2) CONSISTANCY OF PRAYER
The true power of anything that is spiritual is in its consistancy if we have not done what God asked us to do in his word with great consistancy we have no right to complain and prayer is such a spiritual endeavour Jesus said we should “always pray” we should pray regardless of circumstances or emotions prayer is a means of cooperation not manipulation we not for outcome but to be overcomed by the presence of God, this is where the Devil attack many believers because we only pray for desired outcomes and not as a means of survival he uses different methods to make us lose heart which brings us to our final point today
CONSEQUENCE OF PRAYERLESSNESS
There is no such thing is prayerless person as far as Jesus is concerned there are only two types of people in this world there are those that pray and everyone else is unconcious so the only alternative to pray is “faint”
The word faint (enkakein) means a failing of spirit this is what Paul meant when he said to the saints in Ephesians 3:13 “Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.” this is the same word used to discribe the discourgement or inner fainting due to external circumstances so consistant prayer is one of the ways we galvanise our innerman for and in the day of adversity because “if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small” prov 24:10.
