Ge 18:16-33. Tony van Drimmelen. At these Prayer & Fellowship evenings, we want to focus our worship on prayer. Not just another sermon about prayer but to be praying ourselves. How do we know whether we have a heart–felt connection with God in prayer? By looking at selected prayers recorded in the Bible we will be exposed to a rich variety men and women who are responding to God out of life’s circumstances. Abraham’s prayer is a reaction to God’s judgment on two cities (v.17,20-21). Abraham is alarmed by that, so he 'bargains’ with God on the basis of his own justice and mercy (v.25). Abraham has the reality of a heart-felt connection with God in prayer. Do you?
