We Jews really appreciate Roman law (vv. 1-4)
But this Christian causes riots (v. 5)
The term “sect” (Greek: hairesis) in the first century did not carry today’s strong negative connotations; it was neutrally used for groups like the Sadducees (Acts 5:17) and Pharisees (Acts 15:5).
•  “Nazarene” likely derived derogatorily from Jesus’ hometown of Nazareth, and the label stuck to his followers throughout the first century.
•  The Talmud and later Jewish sources refer to Christians this way, and some Jewish-Christian groups even adopted the name themselves.
And he violates the Jewish religion (vv. 6-9)
v.7 is missing - is omitted from the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) and many other modern translations because it is a textual variant not found in the earliest and most reliable Greek manuscripts, such as Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus. This verse, which expands on the account of Paul's arrest by describing the actions of the Roman commander Lysias, appears primarily in later Byzantine manuscripts and is believed to be a scribal addition rather than part of the original text authored by Luke. The CSB, like the NIV and ESV, follows critical editions of the Greek New Testament (e.g., Nestle-Aland or UBS), which prioritize manuscript evidence and internal consistency to determine the most accurate reading, leading to its exclusion from the main text. In some editions, it may appear in footnotes for reference.

My civil behavior is blameless—no riots (vv. 17-20)
My personal message is the issue-Jesus is alive (v. 21)

‘Today I am on trial before you concerning the resurrection of the dead.’ ”

The resurrection of Christ and the fact of the empty tomb are not part of the world’s complex and continuing mythologies. This is not a Santa Claus tale—it is history and it is reality.
A. W. Tozer
If men do not rise again from the dead, then we are of all men most miserable—and that is still the truth! The promise of the resurrection makes the difference for the man who is a believing Christian. If men are not to be raised from the dead, why not eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die!1
A. W. Tozer
1213The resurrection of our divine Lord from the dead is the cornerstone of Christian doctrine. Perhaps I might more accurately call it the keystone of the arch of Christianity, for if that fact could be disproved, the whole fabric of the gospel would fall to the ground.—26.193
Charles Spurgeon
Hugh Latimer
October 1555
Hugh Latimer, preparing a sermon to be preached in the court of Henry VIII, seemed to hear a voice that said, “Be careful what you preach today. You preach before the King of England.” An answering voice replied, “Be careful what you preach today. You preach before the King of Kings.”
Robert Black; Ronald McClung
Bishop Hugh Latimer was martyred in 1555. After being sentenced to death for his convictions, he wrote an open letter in which he declared, “Let us consider all the dear friends of God, how they have gone after the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ; whose footsteps let us also follow, even to the gallows if God’s will be so.” A short time later he and his friend Nicholas Ridley were tied to a stake. As the leaping flames began to touch their bodies, Latimer called out, “Be of good cheer, Brother Ridley, and play the man; we shall this day light such a candle by God’s grace in England as I trust shall never be put out!”

Procrastination is the assassination of motivation.
Unknown
The longer we delay, the more reluctant we are to comply with God’s requirements. Delay itself is disobedience. Procrastination evidences a lack of heart for the Divine precepts and an absence of concern for the Divine glory.
