Right Worship, Right Position, Real Victory
Right Worship, Right Position, Real Victory
Thus says the Lord:
“Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
Victory is not determined by numbers, strength, or strategy—but by heart position expressed through right worship. When God’s people are rightly aligned, God Himself fights for them.
Power flows where alignment exists.
Alignment begins with worship, covenant faithfulness, and trust.
2 Kings with Different Hopes- Power flows through right alignment
2 Kings with Different Hopes- Power flows through right alignment
Jeroboam trusted:
Numbers
Political systems
Man-made religion
Judah trusted:
The LORD God of their fathers
God’s appointed order
God’s established worship
No king is saved by the multitude of an army;
A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a vain hope for safety;
Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Positioned Truth:
You can’t expect covenant power while rejecting covenant order.
Electricity- There is real power but it only flows when there is proper connection
Power doesn’t repsond to strength it responds to alignment Zech 4:6
So he answered and said to me:
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.
Right worship keeps you in God’s protection
Right worship keeps you in God’s protection
2 Chronicles 13:10–11
Judah maintained:
Morning and evening sacrifices
Incense before the LORD
Lampstand burning continually
This wasn’t religious routine—it was ongoing reverence.
Right worship reminds us who God is—and who we are not.
When we walk in the way of the Lord we are living in a place of reverance for Him and His word
Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.
Word of Faith Emphasis
Word of Faith Emphasis
Faith does not replace worship—it is fueled by worship.
Worship positions the heart to trust God fully.
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
God inhabits the Praises of His people Psalm 22:3
But You are holy,
Enthroned in the praises of Israel.
This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord, where I will meet you to speak with you. And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory.
Word of Faith Insight:
Worship is not just expression—it is positioning.
GOD FIGHTS FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM
GOD FIGHTS FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM
2 Chronicles 13:13–15
Judah was outnumbered
They were ambushed
But they:
Looked to the LORD
Cried out to God
The priests blew the trumpets
“Then the men of Judah gave a shout; and as the men of Judah shouted, it happened that God struck Jeroboam and all Israel…” (v.15)
Key Truth
Key Truth
When worship goes up, God steps in.
This was not Judah’s strength—it was God’s intervention.
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
VICTORY COMES FROM STANDING IN THE OLD PATHS
VICTORY COMES FROM STANDING IN THE OLD PATHS
Jeremiah 6:16
The “old paths” are not traditions of men—they are:
God’s ways
God’s covenant
God’s order
God’s worship
Israel left the old paths and lost power.
Judah stood in them and experienced victory.
New methods don’t replace ancient truth.
The power of God flows through unchanging principles.
Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
THE HEART POSITION THAT INVITES GOD’S POWER
THE HEART POSITION THAT INVITES GOD’S POWER
2 Chronicles 13:18
“Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD God of their fathers.”
What Positioned Judah for Power?
What Positioned Judah for Power?
✔ Trust, not numbers
✔ Worship, not substitutes
✔ Covenant faithfulness
✔ Dependence on God
Moses shows this in Exodus 15:1-18
Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying,
“I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;
the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
The Lord is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
The Lord is a man of war;
the Lord is his name.
“Pharaoh’s chariots and his host he cast into the sea,
and his chosen officers were sunk in the Red Sea.
The floods covered them;
they went down into the depths like a stone.
Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power,
your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy.
In the greatness of your majesty you overthrow your adversaries;
you send out your fury; it consumes them like stubble.
At the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up;
the floods stood up in a heap;
the deeps congealed in the heart of the sea.
The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake,
I will divide the spoil, my desire shall have its fill of them.
I will draw my sword; my hand shall destroy them.’
You blew with your wind; the sea covered them;
they sank like lead in the mighty waters.
“Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods?
Who is like you, majestic in holiness,
awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?
You stretched out your right hand;
the earth swallowed them.
“You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed;
you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode.
The peoples have heard; they tremble;
pangs have seized the inhabitants of Philistia.
Now are the chiefs of Edom dismayed;
trembling seizes the leaders of Moab;
all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.
Terror and dread fall upon them;
because of the greatness of your arm, they are still as a stone,
till your people, O Lord, pass by,
till the people pass by whom you have purchased.
You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain,
the place, O Lord, which you have made for your abode,
the sanctuary, O Lord, which your hands have established.
The Lord will reign forever and ever.”

Church, hear this clearly:
God did not call us to invent new paths—
He called us to walk in His ways.
We are not lacking power—
we are sometimes lacking alignment.
When worship is right,
when hearts are surrendered,
when trust replaces strategy,
God steps in and fights for His people.
Some trust in numbers.
Some trust in systems.
Some trust in human strength.
But we trust in the LORD our God.
Tonight, this is not a message of condemnation—
it is an invitation.
“Stand… look… ask… walk.”
Choose the ancient paths.
Choose reverence over convenience.
Choose worship over worry.
Choose trust over control.
Because when you are positioned correctly,
you are positioned for promise.
And when God fights for you—
victory is not a possibility.
It is inevitable.
