Philippians 1:6 KJV 1900
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Introduction:The Story of Mephibosheth—From Lodebar to the King’s Table

Step with me into the shadows of the Old Testament, into a place called Lodebar—a land of no pasture, no promise, no hope.
There sits a man named Mephibosheth.
He’s the grandson of King Saul, the son of Jonathan, but he’s living in obscurity, crippled by a fall, forgotten by the world.
His name means “shame,” and his story seems finished.
But God, was not through with him yet!
One day, King David remembers a covenant, a promise made to Jonathan.
He sends for Mephibosheth.
He calls him out of hiding, out of shame, out of Lodebar.
He restores his inheritance.
He seats him at the king’s table—not just for a day, not just for a season, but continually.
Mephibosheth’s story didn’t end in brokenness.
It was just the beginning of restoration.
God was not through with him yet!

He Brought Us from a Mighty Long Way

Look at us, church!
We are the living testimony that God is a way-maker, a promise-keeper, a miracle-worker.
We were brought from the chains of slavery to the halls of freedom.
From the cotton fields to college campuses.
From “three-fifths of a man” to the highest offices in the land.
But don’t you dare think that’s the end of the story.
Don’t you dare get comfortable in the land of “almost.”
Don’t you dare settle in the place of “good enough.”
If God brought Mephibosheth from Lodebar to the king’s table, surely He can take us from where we are to where He’s calling us to be!

Don’t Get Complacent—There’s More Ahead

Complacency is the enemy of destiny.
If Mephibosheth had stayed in Lodebar, he would have missed the king’s invitation.
If our ancestors had settled for “separate but equal,” we would have missed the march to freedom.
God is not through with you yet!
He’s not through with your family.
He’s not through with this church.
He’s not through with our community.
He’s not through with this Country.
He that began a good work
He will perform it,
He will complete it,
He will finish it!

The Danger of Forgetting the Journey

We’ve come a long way, but the journey isn’t over.
There are still mountains to climb.
There are still chains to break.
There are still dreams to fulfill.
Don’t let the comfort of today rob you of the promise of tomorrow.
Don’t let the victories of the past blind you to the battles ahead.
Don’t let the blessings you see make you forget the blessings yet to come.
God is still writing your story.
He’s still moving in your life.
He’s still working in this nation.
He’s not through with you yet!

God’s Work Is Ongoing—Individually and Collectively

Philippians 1:6 says, “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.”
That means your struggle is not the end.
Your setback is not your story.
Your pain is not your purpose.
God is still shaping you.
He’s still molding you.
He’s still calling you higher.
He’s still calling us as a people to justice, to righteousness, to excellence, to holiness.
He’s not through with you yet!

VI. Whooping Close: The Celebration of the Unfinished Work

As I Close, I need you to know church,
He’s not through with you yet!
He’s not through with your children!
He’s not through with your dreams!
He’s not through with your healing!
He’s not through with your breakthrough!
He’s not through with your deliverance!
He’s not through with your victory!
He’s not through with this church!
He’s not through with this country!
He’s not through with this world!
If God started it, He’s gonna finish it!
If He brought you out,
He’s gonna bring you in!
If He made a way before,
He’ll make a way again!
Don’t get comfortable!
Don’t get complacent!
Don’t stop pressing!
Don’t stop praying!
Don’t stop believing!
Because eyes have not seen,
ears have not heard,
neither has it entered into the heart of man,
what God has prepared for those who love Him!
He’s not through with you yet!
Somebody shout, “He’s not through with me yet!”
Let this be your declaration:
“I will not settle.
I will not be complacent.
I will not stop pressing.
Because He’s not through with me yet!”
Every step we take is a testimony.
Every victory is a prophecy.
Every struggle is a setup for greater glory.
He’s not through with you yet!
