Character and Calling

When I was invited to speak today and I saw the focus of the series was character and calling, I was so excited to be here today. My life is devoted to both of these topics. I work for three organizations and my responsibilities all revolve around character improvement and finding or growing people in their calling.
One of those organizations is Vintage Church were I have a few different responsibilities. My big fancy title is Director of Operations and Ministries. Where I help identify the needs of the community and develop ministries to address those needs. Which means I have to find, develop, equip, and encourage people run those ministries. This requires finding people with the right character and calling. I am also the youth director, where I am responsible for helping teens develop their character and help them to find their calling.
I also work for Prodigal Counseling, where I work with people, couples, and families to lead them back to the grace of Christ to repair character flaws and help them find their calling to serve in Gods kingdom
I work with the 180
And finally I work at the Lodi Access Center. This is where I spend most of my time.

As we get started today, I want you to think to yourself.

Self: What is the first thing people think when they see or talk about me?
