Equal With God

John 5:19-30

I. Equal in Work - The Son Does What the Father Does (vv. 19-20)

A. The works of Jesus are the works of God revealed in human flesh.

B. When Jesus heals, teaches, forgives, or commands, God is acting.

II. Equal in Authority - The Son Gives Life and Judges All (vv. 21–24)

A. Authority to give life

B. Authority to judge humanity

III. Equal in Glory - The Son Raises the Dead and Executes Judgment (vv. 25–30)

A. Every person will hear the voice of Jesus.

B. Resurrection is universal; outcomes are not.

Today is the day to hear His voice in faith.

Tomorrow may be the day you hear it in judgment.
