I want to take the next few weeks and highlight the Circle Maker Bible Study
During the next 40 days we are being invited by God to Circle some promises and pray until we see them become a reality.
There is something in the human spirit that pushes us to climb higher, drive faster or push the boundaries.
God is challenging us to learn to take a risk and engage our faith to a whole new level.
Have you ever felt under qualified or overwhelmed.
The enemy would use that as a tactic to get us to give up, telling us…
• its too hard
• You cant do it you are not qualified,
• you dont belong
And they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
And they told him, “We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. And besides, we saw the descendants of Anak there.
The Amalekites dwell in the land of the Negeb. The Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill country. And the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and along the Jordan.”
But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”
Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.”
So they brought to the people of Israel a bad report of the land that they had spied out, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height.
And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.”
A place God said was theirs yet they too felt under qualified and overwhelmed.
Instead of making excuses they should have prayed and asked God what to do, at other times they sought God but not this time.
So for 40 years they wonder in the wilderness because they didn't trust God would give them victory and they murmured about it.
40 years later they have endured the wilderness and now Gods 2 leaders who believed they could take the land was finally getting the opportunity they longed for.
how unnecessary to not get what was promised because you dont trust God to do it.
Think about this what have you or I have forfeited because we didn't believe the promises of God, we didn't pray about it or we just gave up when it looked to tough.
Jericho was a circling of sorts…
A promise from God yet how frightening it must have been to cross the Jordon only to find Jericho standing in your way…
6 foot wide lower wall, 50 foot high upper walls.
And the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and mighty men of valor.
When you have God’s plan you listen to what God speaks…
Circling Prayer is like that, finding Gods plan or promise and then listening for his voice for instruction when we pray and ask him !!!
Whats your Jericho?
Identify your Jericho…
What promises are you praying around?
What miracles are you marching around?
What dream does your life revolve around?
Remember Matthew 9:29-34
And stopping, Jesus called them and said, “What do you want me to do for you?”
They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”
And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.
Is your Jericho lost loved ones?
And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
One persons faith can bring salvation to their house.
Can the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?
For thus says the Lord: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken, and the prey of the tyrant be rescued, for I will contend with those who contend with you, and I will save your children.
In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge.
But to the two men who had spied out the land, Joshua said, “Go into the prostitute’s house and bring out from there the woman and all who belong to her, as you swore to her.”
So the young men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab and her father and mother and brothers and all who belonged to her. And they brought all her relatives and put them outside the camp of Israel.
Is your Jericho Healing?
saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.”
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’
Is your Jericho Provision
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
