C. Read Romans 9:19-29, Pray
What Paul is trying to get across here in Rom 9 is how much more He is Sovereign verses how much not we are. Just as Jacob and Moses are objects prepared beforehand for Glory, and by extension us, Christians, those who have put their trust in Christ; and Esau and Pharaoh are vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and by extension unbelieving Israel; God in His justice is right in doing what He Wills. Just as much as those objects for Glory did not receive it because of their works, God did it, those vessels of wrath are still condemned based on their rejection of God. Esau’s line was eventually cut off, Pharaoh died in his sins in the Red Sea, unbelieving Israel is still facing the consequences for rejecting God. Again this week we will be attempting to answer the question, “Can we answer back to God?” and seeing again, no we can’t.

A. Another Question
A. Another Question
Same as before in verse 14, trying to pin some sort of unrighteousness on God to avoid fault. Also in Romans 3:4-8
The word for Will here is different, previous uses were more of a wish, whereas this use is more of a concrete plan. Mat 23:37 and 1 Tim 2:3-4, vs Acts 27:42-43 and 2 Pet 3:9
a. The question itself is faulty, it isn’t looking at a specific point where God make a discission but as the whole of His will.
3. Paul doesn’t correct the question but answers with the “non-answer,” assuming it’s true who are you?
B. Again with the Non-Answer
B. Again with the Non-Answer
O man, but who are you, drawing emphasis to “man”

B. Paul uses some interoperative license with this passage
B. Paul uses some interoperative license with this passage
Reading of both passages in the OT Hosea is talking about the Northern 10 Tribes Hosea 2:3, Peter echo’s this thought in 1 Peter 2:10 “Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
Hos 1:10 is the second quote
How can Paul get away with this?
a. There are a couple different camps but ultimately whatever you believe is true doesn’t affect Jesus’ Kingship
