Jonathan had to recall God’s character before he fought the Philistines. He reminded himself and his armor bearer that God can save with a large army or with a few (Gideon). When we begin to move forward in the new thing God calls us to, we will face challenges. And when we do, we must remind ourselves of who God is. Like Jonathan, that is what will give us the courage to face the enemy head-on.
