I have books in my office that are nearly a thousand pages called systematic theologies…
I have not fully read any of them!
None of them fully explain all that Christians should believe and do. And it’s important for Christians to understand what we believe because what we believe will determine what we do…
I went on a ride called the bungee chair one time… My friends and I called it the fast pass to Heaven. If we had really believed that then we probably would not have gotten on it.
If I believe that God… then I will probably…
So these books are important! But they’re also really heavy! There are some Bible verses that can say almost as much as these books. The verse we’re looking at tonight almost covers the essentials of the doctrine of salvation. In one short verse!
2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
