It doesn’t take much to lead, but it is often left untried.
Causes for no leadership:
Fear: They won’t follow me
Guilt: I’m a fraud and I can’t imagine trying to lead in ways that I can’t control myself —hypocrite
Shame: I’ve failed in the past and they won’t follow me now. I’ll look foolish. I’ve lost the right.
No planning/plodding sprauchle (clambering) —not realizing that if you stack a brick once a day that you end up building a whole house in short order. Learning to be obedient daily and regularly.
Examples: Not praying with your spouse. You won’t even reach over and take her hand to lead. These are the types of small actions that get neglected and these are also the types of small actions that merit large returns. The small seeds that bear much fruit. There truly is a low bar to leadership.
