1. Give Testimony of God’s Greatness.

Psalm 34:1–2 ESV
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.
I will bless the Lord: It is an “exclamation of gratitude and admiration”
Bless the Lord, Oh my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
For He has done great things, He has done great things, He has done great things, Bless His holy name.

2. Magnify and Exalt God’s Name.

Psalm 34:3–4 ESV
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! 4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
Doing my part to make the Lord famous throughout the world.
For thou oh Lord are high above all the earth, Thou art exalted far above all gods//
I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee, Oh Lord//

3. Reflect God’s Glory.

Psalm 34:5–6 ESV
5 Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

4. Experience God’s Deliverance.

Psalm 34:7 ESV
7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
The angel of the Lord in OT often refers to God Himself (pre-incarnate Lord Jesus Christ).

5. Be Happy in God’s Protection.

Psalm 34:8–9 ESV
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! 9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!
Taste is an important figure of speech in the Bible. Everywhere it’s used figuratively taste suggests full participation in and/or experience of the thing enjoyed. Here, the invitation to “taste and see that the Lord is good” is a call to rely fully on Him and to experience the benefits of a personal relationship with God.
