Think about what it was like to follow Jesus for 3 plus years and to see all the Apostles saw. Add to that the crucifixion. Then the resurrection. What a roller coaster. One thing is for sure: The presence of Jesus in their lives made all the difference. And His presence in our lives makes the same difference.
The Words Jesus Spoke to his followers in John 20:21 are so important if we are to truly enter in to His mission for our lives.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
We GO trusting that we have a supernatural message.
We GO trusting that we have a supernatural message.
Do you like for things to make sense? I am this way to a fault. The Bible tells us that we need to be ready to give a defense for the hope that is in us. So we need to know what we believe and why we believe it.
But, if we are not careful, we will fail to be making disciples because there may be something we DON’T know. Let me just say, there will be something. No one has all the answers.
This is a supernatural message. There is no logic behind believing that a dead man lives. There is no logic to believing that Jesus is the God-Man. This is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is life to those who believe.
We GO trusting that we are centered in the peace of Jesus.
We GO trusting that we are centered in the peace of Jesus.
We called this message “sent and centered” This carries the idea of peace. We need to realize that we can have a peace that passes understanding when we get up the courage to talk to someone about Christ. His peace He has given to us. Notice it is connected to our being sent. Just like he spoke peace in the midst of the storm with the Apostles, we have to believe that He gives us peace.
We GO trusting that we are as sent as Jesus was.
We GO trusting that we are as sent as Jesus was.
What a statement.
Jesus was focused on fulfilling His mission. Are we?
He was sent to save people by the cross and the resurrection.
We are sent to declare WHY he was sent.
A personal question: To whom is Jesus sending you?
Last week we mentioned the importance of praying about our mission. Let’s stay focused on this.
We GO trusting that He goes with us and in us.

teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
