Salvation is My Story- Trusting in the Redeeming God

God’s Nature is How He asked-
God’s will is what He does
God’;s plans are what unfold
For those Who trust in Him
Hope is what makes us trust, Faith is what makes us act, & Love is what Keeps us Loyal

How Trusting the Lord Works in the Life of Believers

Trusting Sees Burdens are Opportunities to experience Deliverance

2 Corinthians 1:7 NKJV
And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.
Steadfast- unshakable- Our hope is unshakable
1 Peter 1:3 NKJV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
We have a living Hope
Because we serve Jesus, and Because We follow Him- suffering will happen
John 15:18–25 NKJV
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’
The worlds hate for the Believers is because the World hates Jesus, and the reason why the World Hates Jesus is because the World hate God
and the reason why the World hates God is because 2 Cor 4:4
2 Corinthians 4:4 NKJV
whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
They have another god of their life.
And that God is being judged 1 Cor 2:6
1 Corinthians 2:6 NKJV
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
The Rulers of this Age are coming to Nothing
Revelation 12:17 ESV
Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.
Revelation 12:12 NKJV
Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

The Devil knows He is defeated-

He is in a last ditch effort to wage war

God never Consults the Devil for His plans

1 John 5:4–5 ESV
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:18–19 ESV
We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
The World might be under the sway of the Devil- But the believers aren’t
1 Corinthians 16:9 NKJV
For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
The adversaries don’t get to determine the Doors that God Opens
Revelation 3:7–13 NKJV
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

God’s deliverance works in Spite of the Enemy

2 Corinthians 1:8–10 NKJV
For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,
Paul says-
Who delivered
Who does deliver us
He will Still Deliver us
God’s delivering Power never stops and never runs out
This is the Pattern for those who trust in God

God Deliverance

Joshua 10:8 NKJV
And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you.”
There is an aspect of Deliverance where we act in faith and God uses us to bring about the deliverance - Because God is writing a story of Redemption!

God’s Mercy Leads the Way

Exodus 15:13 NKJV
You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation.

1. God’s redemption plan turns bitterness into life

Exodus 15:22–27 NKJV
So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them, and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.
Jospeh in Gen 41:51-52
Genesis 41:51–52 NKJV
Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: “For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house.” And the name of the second he called Ephraim: “For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.”
God not only made Him forget, He made Him Prosper in the land that was supposed to be His prison and His oppression
The Story of Ruth - Naomi Changes Here name to mean bitter
Ruth 1:20–21 ESV
She said to them, “Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. I went away full, and the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the Lord has testified against me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?”
Ruth 4:14 NKJV
Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel!
God is excellent at turning things in people’s Lives
Psalm 126 NKJV
A Song of Ascents. When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad. Bring back our captivity, O Lord, As the streams in the South. Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.
KJV- Psalm 126:1
Psalm 126:1 KJV 1900
When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, We were like them that dream.
Job 42:10 KJV 1900
And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
What was Stolen God Restored-

God always works Redemption

Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This is a prophecy of Redemption
The Prodigal Son is a Parable of Redemption
Through Jesus we have Redemption
God can turn your bitterness in to sweet redemption

God’s Redemption make provision in the wilderness

He Didn’t lead them out and say good luck with the Rest- No He is working
Exodus 16:1–4 ESV
They set out from Elim, and all the congregation of the people of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had departed from the land of Egypt. And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.
God’s Promise was to be their God- and part of being their God was Him being the God who provides
All our needs are met by our God-
Look At what God is doing- He is fulfilling His Word which Had Promised to Abraham
God works in Covenant- with covenant promises
After God takes the nation of Israel out He leads them to a place where He makes a covenant with them

Jesus hasn’t deliver us and left us to wondering in the wilderness of this world

Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
The Writer of Hebrews assures us the promise still remains Hebrews 13:5-6
Hebrews 13:5–6 NKJV
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
God is the Same-
Through the Mouth of Balem The Spirit spoke and declared
Numbers 23:19 NKJV
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Hebrews 13:8 NKJV
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Victory is part of your Redemption story

Exodus 17:14–16 NKJV
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner; for he said, “Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
From Generation to Generation- Go’s Promise
God tells Moses to Read it in the Presence of Joshua because God wants Him to have his faith built that God will do everything He has Spoke
Exodus 15:3 ESV
The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name.
Don’t ever Forget the victoy that Jesus Bought for you
Colossians 2:14–15 NKJV
having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

What happens?

Exodus 17:7 NKJV
So he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”
Rather then turning to God- they Questioned Him
“Well god are you even with us?”
Rather then Remember the Great things He had done, and His Faithfulness
they doubt and deny the goodness of God in their lives
Psalm 118:1–17 NKJV
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let Israel now say, “His mercy endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron now say, “His mercy endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord now say, “His mercy endures forever.” I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes. All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord.
There is a way that you Can come to God- Psalm 118:25
Psalm 118:25 NKJV
Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.
Or there can be doubt and despair
Psalm 103:1–5 ESV
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Lamentations 3:20–23 ESV
My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
