2 Peter 1:5 “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;”

Defining Knowledge

2 Peter 1:2 “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,”

-Epignosis; a personal recognition, coming to understand something clearly and distinctly or as true and valid. - SALVATION

This knowledge is completely different than what Peter means in verse 5
