Joshua 3:3;10-11

We live in a broken world:
Broken systems and governments
Broken marriages and relationships
Broken homes and broken people
There are wars, rumors of wars—there is civil unrest and societal messes
There are people who are in poverty, people stricken with disease and sickness
There are people who are bound in addiction or shackled in our prisons
The home is broken—full of broken spouses and broken children
You and me, yep—we are broken—we struggle with pride and our sins, struggle with grief, guilt, shame, and the misery that our sins bring
The Bible teaches us there’s a God in heaven who created us, loves us, and has plans for us
The Bible also says that our brokenness (sin) is what separates us from God’s love, grace, mercy, peace, forgiveness, and a relationship
How can a person know if God—who is perfect, perfectly holy, perfectly righteous and without sin, is for them since we are so broken inside?
