What does this fast mean for us

Genesis 1:28 “28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
The topic of our fast is aligning with the word of the Year of fruitfulness - 2026
Fasting is depriving oneself of food (particularly) to attend to a spiritual activiti(es) such as prayer, meditation, praise or worship, seek answers or direction from the Lord.
(Acts 13:1–3 “1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.”

Blessings of Fasting

There are ways of fasting - God sets the rules when we fast, and not ourselves
Fasting is to bring us instructions, direction, guidance or revelation in a way on an issue(s)
Fasting does not change God, fasting affects us
Price to pay - Joh_12:23-24
When we fast, our voices are heard. We are better position to attract God’s attention through humility
Isaiah 58:4 “4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, And to smite with the fist of wickedness: Ye shall not fast as ye do this day, To make your voice to be heard on high.”
There is power in fasting
Light breaks forth - revelation -Isaiah 58:8 “8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, And thine health shall spring forth speedily: And thy righteousness shall go before thee; The glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward.” Acts 13:1-3
Health speedily -
restoration (physical, emotional, spiritual - 'ărûkâh    'ărûkâh ar-oo-kaw', ar-oo-kaw'
Feminine passive participle of H748 (in the sense of restoring to soundness); wholeness (literally or figuratively): - health, made up, perfected).
One thing is very important in life is time. Determine more than you can imagine. When God’s power gets released, we accomplish things in due time, health is restored fast. Jesus accomplished his ministry just in time. There are things planned for this year, not next year.
No procrastination.
Righteousness/the righteous one - God will go before you, and fight for you - Isaiah 45:2 “2 I will go before thee, And make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, And cut in sunder the bars of iron:”
Glory of the Lord will back you up - Esther came out in glory, Ezra came out with glory (Ezra 8:21-23), Moses came out in glory and Jesus himself came out in the power of the spirit (Luke 4:14 “14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.”
The hidden plans of the enemy will be twisted, whatever is being done in the dark and background to catch you from the back will not work.
NLT - and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind (Isaiah 58:8)
Victory over oppressions, addictions, fears, doubt, worries, things that will affect your soul
Mark 9:29 “29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”
Power released
Answered Prayer

At that time, when you call, the LORD will answer;

when you cry out, he will say, ‘Here I am.’

God will now locate you. We usually cry loud for God to locate us but we are hiding from him. This fast will cause God to locate you.

Watch Out For these Things

Eat the Word and Spend time in prayer. its time to surrender.
These are the days of surrender, give yourself up to God, your desires, your pleasures, your delicacies
(Daniel 10:3 “3 I ate no pleasant bread [delicacies], neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.” )
Avoid the element that nulify fast
Familiarity, i am just fasting. Dont get too familiar until we end, you may miss a blessing, a word, a revelation
Food distractions
Strive - avoid querels, die to yourself
Sick - remain in the attitude of fasting. Not a right to galavanding

A fast Can fail

Because a fast can be rejected, so can prayer, and offerings if not done in a proper way.
Jeremiah 14:12 “12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.”
Amos 5:21–22 “21 I hate, I despise your feast days, And I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. 22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: Neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.”
What We want to is the flourishing results of a fast - fruitfulness/Multiplication/Subdue/Having dominion

We dont want to fail

If we dont practice this things, we will not see the expected results. We would have just dieted.: loss weight, refreshed
