Jesus is physically changed to reveal God’s glory.
This should make us think of the shining glory of God that made Moses’ face glow for days after meeting with God.
It’s the glory that filled the tabernacle and temple.

Elijah - he is the prophet of prophets. He’s the standard and most well known. When someone says prophet they think Elijah.
His lifestyle is also similar to John the Baptist. He had a message for the people and he had an enemy in a powerful and corrupt ruler.
What does it mean?
Jesus is God. It’s actually funny that the pharisees just asked for an undeniable sign from God like a few days earlier and then Jesus brings his closest friends along to see this. Lol.
