The Power that is on Your Side

v. 18-19 lead to v. 20 “Which He brought about in Christ”
The power that God has is shown in Christ by raising Him from the dead and seating him at His right hand.
The power that we need for our lives can only be found IN CHRIST.
Nothing can replace the power that is in Christ. Let me remind us that the power that we have in Christ is the same power living in us. If you have the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:11
Romans 8:11 CSB
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through his Spirit who lives in you.
Paul starts reminding us who this Christ is. This is the same Christ that God raised from the dead.
The Power you need to serve Jesus, live obediently, and to resist temptation is the same power that God worked in Christ to raise Him from the dead - HB Charles
Without God raising Christ from the dead, we would have no hope of salvation much less heaven.
No matter what your going through in your life, you ought to be thankful tonight that God raised Jesus from the dead.
After God raised Him He sat Him down. He sat Him down at His right hand. Thats a place of Honor, Favor, and Authority in the Heavenly Places.
His place of authority is not the thing as the President or a King. This is not just the same as a CEO. Jesus has the authority in the Heavenly Places. V. 21 explains what that means.
Not just above but far above ALL rule , authority, power and dominion. He doesn’t just have some of these things. He has the totality of them. In the Greek that word ALL means All. Everything. Lacking Nothing. And its not temporary it is for all time.
Chris Tomlin story from Charlie Kirks funeral
Your name is the highest Your name is the greatest Your name stands above them all All thrones and dominions All powers and positions Your name stands above them all
Ever name that is named. God didn’t just give Him the Authority and Power but He gave Him a name that is above Every name. It doesn’t matter what title you put on someones name, Jesus will always be better.
He put all things under His feet. It may be over your head but its under His feet.
There is nothing too big that Jesus doesn’t have power over.
Do you believe that He is in charge over everything, He is supreme over everything, He is in control over everything.
If you believe that than what are you worried about.
