Why Should I Pray?

So I can draw nearer to God and He can draw nearer to me. (James 4:8)

No need to raise your hand for this, but can you think of any people who were your super close friends but aren’t anymore?

Do you think God wants to distance Himself from us?

No! He is ready to draw nearer to us, its on us to come to Him. And prayer is a way to do that.

So I can receive all of the wonderful wisdom that God wants to give me. (James 1:5)

Trials will feel like you’re a ship tossed at sea, and without the Lord’s help, you won’t be able to make it out safe.

We need to ask wisdom from the Lord when we are facing difficulty

God is in the process of making us just like Jesus. The more we grow, the more we are like Jesus in our life on earth. The Holy Spirit is working in your life, so that as you pray, read your Bible, and show your faith by your works, you will be growing to be more and more like Jesus.

So I can ask the Holy Spirit to guide me. (Psalm 25:4-5)
