MY NEW DAWN ERA (PART 4)
Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
A new dawn is a divine turning point signifying the end of hardship &(darkness/night) and the beginning of hope, restoration, new opportunities, and glory through God's intervention.
Isa. 43:18-19, Psm. 30:5.. For His anger endures but for a moment. In His favour is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
This is your morning. No more weeping. Your dawn of the day is here.
WHAT GOD EXPECTS FROM YOU IN YOUR NEW DAWN
1. Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving is one of God's expectations in your new dawn experience. As you expect God to appreciate each day and remain thankful to God at all times, it gladdens God's heart and moves Him to do more for you. Psm.34:1
Thanksgiving is a confirmation of your spirituality. You are as spiritual as the extent of your appreciation and thankfulness to God and man.
Thanksgiving implies spirituality. It's not just a physical thing but a spiritual virtue.
It takes carnality to complain and murmur. You can't be grateful and still be caught in complaining and murmuring. Spiritual people are thanks Spiritual people are thankful at all times and for every help they receive. The ungrateful people have an entitlement mentality. It's always their right to be helped, and when that does not come forth, they complain. Exo. 16:1-4. The ungrateful don't remember past help. Psm. 92:1. It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord. The implication of this verse is that the attitude of ingratitude is a bad attitude in life.
Thanksgiving is a major component of spirituality. The truth is that
Thanksgiving is no less a spiritual action than prayer and fasting, study of the word, soul winning, and giving.
BENEFITS OF THANKSGIVING
1. Thanksgiving pleases god: Psm, 92:1-2 Giving of thanks is pleasant to God. You are doing His will when you choose to give thanks instead of complaining, your condition notwithstanding. 1Thes. 5:18. It also opens new avenues for more blessings for you. When he is pleased He will do more for you. John 8:29 And He that sent me is with me, the Father has not left me alone. For I do those things that please Him.
Thanksgiving keeps you in His presence. Thanksgiving is a divine mandate that confers on you, while complaining brings you into defeat. You will have God more on your side in thanksgiving than when you are ungrateful.
2. Thanksgiving is the requirement for the multiplication of your blessing: John 6:9, 11-12. It is a divine key to supernatural erasing. When there is a lack, thanksgiving is what to engage in to bring abundance.
3. Thanksgiving is an antidote to bitterness: It prevents grumbling and connects you to God's peace and joy. Thanks givers are joyful time. Don't forget the spirituality of thanksgiving. You can't be a thanksgiver and still be in bitterness towards anyone.
4. Thanksgiving focuses your mind on the right subject:
When challenges arise, it is easy to allow them to choke us to the point where we can't see any solution in view, and this can shift our attention from the real source of answers, but thanksgiving focus your attention on God, who is greater than our challenges.
You can't be confused when Thanksgiving is the order of your life.
5. Thanksgiving strengthens your faith: Rom. 4:20 says Abraham grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave thanks to God
Have a wonderful week full of His blessings in Jesus' name, amen.
