What does God really say about you?

Because you are given an identity as a child of God, you don’t have to be held captive to lies from the world.
Galatians 3:26 “for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.”
Genesis 3:5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.””
The devil made Eve doubt what the Lord has already said.
This is how the devil lies to us today.
2 Corinthians 10:3–7 “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete. Look at what is before your eyes. If anyone is confident that he is Christ’s, let him remind himself that just as he is Christ’s, so also are we.”
Are you caught up in the war of comparison based on what the world says about you?
This war is not of our flesh, but of the spirit which has already been one
Ephesians 5:8–11 “for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”
What is a lie you’re believing? How can you take those thought captive and replace the lie with what God says about you?
The more you spend time with Jesus in His word and in prayer, the more you understand who He says you are.
Silence and solitude
Activity: take an index card and write down a lie that you’re believing, then cross it out and write down what God really says about you.
