What do you do for fun - Finding Fullness
What do you do for fun - Finding Fullness
This is a question everyone asks when you go a little deeper than How are you? or That weather eh? What does that question get at?
It gets at feeling alive, and purpose.
There is a great movement to feel alive and have purpose in your work and making sure there’s balance for family. People now have an average of 12 jobs over their lifetime compared to 9 a generation ago and closer to 1 a few generations ago.
We want to feel alive and have purpose.
So do this and do that reels and ads capture our attention as they pointedly tell us our problems and the solutions for them.
You’ll feel more alive and purposelful if you have this or take this product or live this lifestyle. Everyone is selling something to try and help you feel alive and with purpose: Fulfilled.
The only place to find fullness of life is free and available, the fullness of God for us in Jesus.
The Colossians wanted fulfillment
The Colossians wanted fulfillment
Last week, Pastor Caleb talked about us being taken captive by philiosphies of our world.
This week we answer that ache in God.
The Colossians grabbed everything to find fullness. That’s the word here.
Fullness: We talked about this before the Christmas season began: Colossians 1:19 “For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,”
The Colossians were looking for God everywhere and Paul declared, its all in Jesus- Go To Him!
We have access to Christ and a full life

Christ fills us when we become Christians and seals us. 2 Corinthians 1:21–22 “He has also put his seal on us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment.” Christ
