GOD ENTHRONES THOSE WHO BUILD THEIR LIFE AROUND HIM
GOD ENTHRONES THOSE WHO BUILD THEIR LIFE AROUND HIM
“WHO SITS ON THE THRONE OF YOUR HEART?”
“WHO SITS ON THE THRONE OF YOUR HEART?”
Today is not about religion.
It is not about rules, appearances, or trying harder to be “a good Christian.”
Today is about love, surrender, and who truly sits on the throne of your heart.
Every heart has a throne. Every life is built around something. For some, it is approval. For others, it is fear, success, comfort, pleasure, or control. And without realizing it, many people invite God into their life—but never hand Him the crown.
God does not want to be a guest in your life.
He does not want to visit your heart on Saturday’s and be ignored the rest of the week.
He desires to reign—not because He is demanding, but because He is loving.
When God asks for the throne of your heart, He is not trying to take something from you—He is trying to give you life. He knows that whatever sits on that throne will shape your thoughts, guide your decisions, and determine your future. If fear rules, it will imprison you. If people’s opinions rule, they will exhaust you. If sin rules, it will slowly destroy you. But when Jesus reigns, He brings peace, clarity, healing, and purpose.
The crown belongs on the heart that has surrendered—not the heart that is perfect. God does not enthrone the strongest, the loudest, or the most popular. He enthrones those who say, “Lord, You can have all of me.” A heart yielded to God becomes a place of authority, stability, and love.
Today, the Holy Spirit is not pointing a finger of condemnation—He is extending an invitation of love. He is saying, “Let Me sit where I belong. Let Me lead you. Let Me heal you. Let Me establish you.”
Because here is the truth that changes everything:
When God is enthroned in your heart, your life begins to stand in ways it never could before.
This is not about giving God part of your heart.
This is about giving Him the crown.
“Lord, You can have all of me.”
POINT 1 — GOD IS ENTHONED WHEN HE IS HONORED
POINT 1 — GOD IS ENTHONED WHEN HE IS HONORED
Scripture:
Psalm 22:3 “But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.”
Proverbs 3:9 “Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;”
God shows up where He is taken seriously. Honor is more than singing loud—it’s living like God matters.
Youth Illustration:
If you say someone is important but never listen to them, that’s not honor. If God is important, His voice should matter more than the crowd.
Key Truth:
What you honor will shape your future.
Honor God, and He takes His place in your life.
POINT 2 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN YOU OBEY HIM (EVEN WHEN IT’S HARD)
POINT 2 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN YOU OBEY HIM (EVEN WHEN IT’S HARD)
Scripture:
John 14:15 ““If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
Luke 6:46 ““But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?”
Obedience isn’t about being perfect—it’s about choosing God when it’s uncomfortable.
Illustration:
Everyone can obey when it’s easy. Real faith shows up when you say no to pressure, gossip, compromise, or sin—even when it costs you popularity.
Key Truth:
Obedience isn’t losing freedom—it’s choosing the right future.
POINT 3 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN YOU TRUST HIM OVER YOUR FEARS
POINT 3 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN YOU TRUST HIM OVER YOUR FEARS
Scripture:
Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”
Fear wants the throne. Anxiety wants control. God takes His place when you trust Him with your unknowns.
Youth Illustration:
Social media makes it easy to compare your life to everyone else’s highlight reel. Trusting God means believing your story matters—even if it looks different.
Key Truth:
Trust puts God in control and kicks fear off the throne.
POINT 4 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN HE COMES FIRST, NOT LAST
POINT 4 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN HE COMES FIRST, NOT LAST
Scripture:
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Colossians 1:18 “And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.”
God doesn’t want leftovers—He wants first place.
Youth Illustration:
If God only fits in when nothing else is happening, He’s not first. First place shows up in how you use your time, your phone, and your attention.
Key Truth:
When God is first, everything else falls into place.
POINT 5 — GOD IS ENTHRONED THROUGH HUMILITY, NOT HYPE
POINT 5 — GOD IS ENTHRONED THROUGH HUMILITY, NOT HYPE
Scripture:
James 4:6 “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.””
Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
God isn’t impressed by clout. He responds to humility.
Youth Illustration:
You don’t need to prove yourself to everyone. The loudest voice isn’t always the strongest one. God lifts those who stay teachable.
Key Truth:
Humility makes room for God to move.
POINT 6 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN YOU SPEND TIME WITH HIM DAILY
POINT 6 — GOD IS ENTHRONED WHEN YOU SPEND TIME WITH HIM DAILY
Scripture:
Psalm 27:4 “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.”
John 15:4–5 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
Your relationship with God grows through consistency, not moments.
Youth Illustration:
Friendships fade without communication. Faith weakens without connection. Time with God builds strength you can’t fake.
Key Truth:
Time with God builds confidence, identity, and power.
POINT 7 — GOD ENTHRONES YOU SO YOU CAN INFLUENCE OTHERS
POINT 7 — GOD ENTHRONES YOU SO YOU CAN INFLUENCE OTHERS
Scripture:
Matthew 5:14–16 ““You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
God doesn’t bless you just for you. He raises you up so others can see Him through you.
Illustration:
Your walk with God can change your school, your friend group, your family. You don’t need a platform—your life is the platform.
Key Truth:
God establishes young people who are bold, real, and surrendered.
CONCLUSION (Straight Talk)
CONCLUSION (Straight Talk)
You don’t need to be older to be powerful.
You don’t need to be perfect to be used.
You just need to decide who sits on the throne.
If God is at the center, your life will stand strong when everything else shakes.
