Repentance
Paul and Corinthians
Paul and Corinthians
Repentance is a change of mind set.
Repentance that leads to salvation is the result of Godly sorrow/grief. 2 Cor 7:8-12,
For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.
Godly sorrow/grief is the response of a sincere heart to a Godly rebuke 1 Cor 5:1-13, 2 Cor 1:13-2:4
And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.
Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”
For I wrote to you out of much affliction and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to cause you pain but to let you know the abundant love that I have for you.
