Psalm 41

Introduction

Faithfulness is often quiet. It doesn’t always demand attention, it doesn’t insist on being noticed.
Yet, there are times when being faithful feels lonely—when doing what’s right seems to go unseen. Psalm 41 was written in a moment like that. David was faithful, but he is weak. He is obedient, but he is not honored.
Many of the Psalms come from a place of worship, a place of Thanksgiving, or a place of immense love and praise toward the LORD. These are some of the most remembered and quoted Psalms in the psaltar… as they should be. However, Psalm 41 has a different message: it is a lament psalm.
