I. Galatians 6:1 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”
Galatians 6:2 “Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:3 “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.”
Galatians 6:4 “But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”
Galatians 6:5 “For every man shall bear his own burden.”
. There are three kinds of burdens:
Those we willingly take up.
Those we faithfully endure.
Those we wisely lay down.
A. Sharing The Loads of Others. Verse 1-2.
Help to restore the burdens of the fallen and backslidden.
. We are to gently restore those who have fallen out of church and that have backslidden or broken with God.
. While we are running from sin, Satan is running after us. Sometimes we are overtaken, Sometimes we stumble and fall.
.When a brother or sister in christ has fallen out of church and has backslidden from the will of God. we shouldn't be out gossiping about them, we should be praying for them.
. We should fulfill the law of Christ, Love and support others, bearing their heavy loads.
B. Burdens We Shoulder: Carrying Our Personal Responsibility.
Personal Burdens.
. Certain burdens are uniquely ours, such as repentance and trusting Christ.
. God uses some burdens to teach us to teach us to live a disciplined life, not a life of ease.
. Examine your work: Focus on personal obedience and growth rather than comparing with others.
. We must examine ourselves and the burdens we have to bear, but we should ask the church to help and pray for us when the burdens are to heavy to bear.
C. Burdens We Lay Down: Casting Cares On The Lord.
Psalm 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
1. Learn to roll your burdens upon Jesus.
.Cast don't carry.
.Trust God with anxieties, worries, and overwhelming situations.
. God sustains, He provides strength to bear what we cannot handle alone.
.Bring all your burdens to the altar. use your burdens as opportunities to come to the feet of Jesus.
Conclusion:
. Recognize which burdens to bear and which to release.
. Trust in Gods grace to handle every weight and burdens that you will and are to bear.
