In this message we’re reminded that the Christian life isn’t a quick dash—it’s a long race of endurance. The author of Hebrews challenges us to lay aside every weight and sin that slows us down and to run with perseverance the race God has set before us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. Like a marathon runner paced for the long haul, we embrace God’s loving discipline and His strength to persevere through obstacles and trials, finishing well with courage and hope.
