While he was saying these things to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
And Jesus rose and followed him, with his disciples.
And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment,
for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.”
Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.
And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years,
and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse.
But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.”
Jesus was on the way to perform another miracle. Jairus’ daughter.
2. The woman had faith. Her faith drove her to Christ.
3. She did not know how.
4. Her posture showed humility.
5. She was unclean. Cast out of the community. For 12 years. God allowed this to happen to this woman.
6. She has tried to fix it. Many doctors tried to fix it.
7. She was made well. God ordained the healing through Jesus.
8. She was made clean.
9. Jesus is the source of Power. All miracles and healing go through people (Peter, Paul) but the power comes from God.
10. The woman was restored physically, socially and ritually. God did this for His Glory. So the woman would believe, and you may read it and believe.
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
Jesus relates to us on a human level. Fully Human. Griefs, Sorrows, Sin, Shame, Everything.
Jesus came to save your soul. 1 Timothy 1:15
God sees you.
When you hurt, God hurts.
You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?
Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me.
In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Not all wounds are visible.
God can heal all wounds.
God is using your life to bring you to him.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
You can not see the good without God.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
