Series: Prosperity That Endures
Focus: Paul’s secret of contentment and the prosperity found in faithful stewardship
Big Idea: Prosperity isn’t about having more — it’s about needing less because Christ is enough.
— Contentment learned in every circumstance Philippians 4:11–13
11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:
12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
— “Godliness with contentment is great gain” 1 Timothy 6:6
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
— Faithfulness in little leads to faithfulness in much Luke 16:10
10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
— Seek first the Kingdom Matthew 6:33
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
— Honor God with your substance Proverbs 3:9–10
9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
— Work as unto the Lord Colossians 3:23–24
23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
— God supplies abundantly for every good work 2 Corinthians 9:8
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
These passages show prosperity as fruitfulness, sufficiency, and faithful stewardship, not accumulation.
