Designed by God for Man and Women

Genesis 2:18–25 NIV
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” 19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. 25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

Transcends Governments
Governments have dabbled into theology so the church has had to engage in this conversation.
Not able to be blessed

Recognized by community

is Cohabitating the same as marraige? No.
John 4:16–19 NIV
16 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” 17 “I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. 18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” 19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet.

2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
Genesis 2:24 NLT
24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.

Keeping it secret…
Marraige is a covenant. Public confession needs to be made, Bride prices need to be paid.
Becoming a husband and wife in private with no one else knowing about it would be like declaring yourself the mayor of your town. You don’t get to be the mayor just because you declare yourself to be the mayor. There is a process that needs to be followed and then the public will recognize you as the mayor. In a similar way, a husband and wife are actually taking a public position within the society when they become a husband and wife. Thus, it being a private union that only they know about would be illogical.
Community keeps you accountable
Iv’e tried both and the former failed me miserably.
I understand the brokenness

Reflection of The Church

Ephesians 5:21–24 NIV
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Submit - to consent, to accomplish, to toil with, on the side of, reveal, become known, to kiss.
Submission does not mean inferiority. As well, submission does not mean silence. Submission means “sub-mission.” There is a mission for the Christian marriage, and that mission is obeying and glorifying God. The wife says, “I’m going to put myself under that mission.
It’s an Oxymoron, pick up your cross, live. The person that loses there life for my sake will find life, etc…
Ephesians 5:25–27 NIV
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
Ephesians 5:31–32 NIV
31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.
This is true in regard to the pattern of the first man and the first woman. “Woman was made at the beginning as the result of an operation which God performed upon man. How does the church come into being? As the result of an operation which God performed on the Second Man, His only begotten, beloved Son on Calvary’s hill. A deep sleep fell upon Adam. A deep sleep fell upon the Son of God, He gave up the ghost, He expired, and there in that operation the church was taken out. As the woman was taken out of Adam, so the church is taken out of Christ. The woman was taken out of the side of Adam; and it is from the Lord’s bleeding, wounded side that the church comes.” (Lloyd-Jones)
John 3:29 NIV
29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.
Revelation 19:7 NLT
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.
Revelation 21:9 NIV
9 One of the seven angels said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
