We Have a Problem
1. All humanity is under sin. 9
2. Scripture clearly declares that all men
are sinful. 10-18
3. The purpose of the God’s law was to
reveal man’s sinfulness. 19-20
SCRIPTURE DECLARES MAN IS SINFUL.
MAN LIVES OUT HIS SINFULNESS.
MAN IS WITHOUT EXCUSE!
SCRIPTURE CLEARLY REVEALS
THE REALITY THAT ALL
HUMANITY HAS SINNED AGAINST
GOD’S DIRECTIVES.
YOU ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE
BECAUSE OF YOUR SIN!
Application
1. I must recognize that my own self-effort of
being good is insufficient to meet the
standard of God’s righteousness.
2. Understanding the reality of my spiritual
condition without God is necessary for
moving forward in a relationship with God.
Application
3. The first step in helping people understand
salvation and the gospel is helping them
understand their sinful position before
God!
Application
4. Notice how Scripture points to the use of
our tongue in displaying evidence of our
sinfulness – we should take heed
recognizing that how we use our words
reveal a lot about our heart.
YOU ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE
BECAUSE OF YOUR SIN!
