The Impact of Intercession (Family Matters)

Well, thank you, good to be with you again here in a good more running mate, or staying or whatever you call this part of West London and bring the light delightful to be in the presence of the Lord. This morning, I don't know who prayed about the songs this morning, but I do know that I threw something from IHOP that is selling line with where I'm at and where things are going, I believe at the moment, but there is a cry in the house of the people of God for a significant powerful invasion of Holy Spirit life. The God will come in power and might I don't like the word Revival particularly because everybody has their own definition of what it might be. But what I am believing Is an invasion of the holy spirit in our day and outlined in this nation and we are encouraged and I've been encouraged by all. The reports are started by the beginning of last year, by The Bible Society report of a silent Revival. There's that word as I spoke about extraordinary happenings amongst young, people particularly teenagers and particularly young men, which was kind of a real surprise. And then we keep hearing about this extraordinary interest in the Bible. Just last week, I read that the Bible Society of saying a hundred 34% increase in the sale of Bibles in the last few years is 134 Watch as many plus Bibles have been sold in the last few years. That is a sign that people are seeking God. There is a cry in the hearts of people. This is not Christians. We will have a thousand Bibles on. Well, some of us haven't thousand five people who are seeking and a very is an openness to God. And I for the last five years have come to an absolute collusion, that the only hope for our nation is a move of the Holy Spirit. Nothing else will do. I know that I lost you lie. There were many people hoping that we the new government, they would, sweeping change Across the Nation.

I did stand out there and speak and I didn't always get a good reception inside. Listen change the government's not going to make the slightest difference and that whatever you put your political persuasion. The truth is it hasn't as it. That's because I'll need is much deeper and greater than a change of the politics. There is a deep-seated need for a turning to God. It is our only hope that is my honest opinion and conclusion, but I'm not without hope, I'm not coming down the path in a depressed state. I do get angry. I shout the television screen protector of the news, because of what I say in here and, you know, my disappointment of the behavior of men, particularly in leadership across the Nations, which is just horrifying but you know, that does his increase my certainty, that we desperately need a move at the Holy Spirit. But then then, I am Encouraged as I turned to the scriptures because I'm told that it was the Old and New Testaments in Joe to end in x to that in the Lost.

George is going to pour out his Spirit upon All Flesh. There is going to be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. There is going to be an ingathering among stole from the old Flash, and then we see on that television streams. I've got to my message, by the way. This is all just building up with the clock. So, what what time do I have to finish it. Catch ya. Anyway, I see on that television screens is Dreadful news from around and all the distressing, terrible things that are happening to people in Iran and then I read all the move out, the Holy Spirit across around with thousands and thousands of people are turning to Jesus. I read a report that in the last few years, 25,000, mosques have closed down. Cuz nobody's going to them because the people are disillusioned and disappointed. And there is a move of the holy spirit. So I news is telling us these Dreadful things up, but there is another newspaper being written in heaven, of significant numbers of people turning to Jesus, and it's happening in our country to people. Turning to Jesus numbers of young people, particularly finding Jesus said you were off today. Wow. Isn't that exciting? I can remember when I was 21, it was a lot of May 5th, 56 years ago.

I do apologize eration. That is going to say an incredible move of the Holy Spirit. Can I say to you without putting you under any pressure that got these rising out men, young men and young women to be leaders in this move of the Holy Spirit and I see the anointing of the spirit upon you. I see this day, the desire in your heart to be used by garden and I just want to say to you be open cuz God has some things that he wants to do through you. That are beyond your, what impact did not beyond your wildest dreams, cuz you carry stuff in your stuff that you taught me that speak about cuz you see yourself in in significant Ministry situations and you, you think, over the account talk about this. But girl, just pull that there. I'm just going to come to pass and, and I just sent the in the A couple of years. You got some really important challenges decisions to make you can you can go for the old, Andre husband to kids, nice house, good job, plenty of money and go to bless you and you can live a good Godly life. But there's another road for you that if you're willing to pay the price, go to Lytle the rest of that stuff to you, but it will come as you follow him and God will lead you into an extraordinary place of Effectiveness and fruitfulness for the kingdom of God. The hand of God is upon you. The stamp of God upon the approval of God is upon. You walk with him. Listen to his voice. Make the right decisions when you're faced with these challenges and I just see you being used by God to bring a generation of young people that are hurting broken, bruised. I took back to Jesus and you will be amazed at what God will do through you and others. Like Do they use raising up at this time? Because the desperate need of the hour is for people willing to pay the price to see this move of the spirit through you see my by by Aza. Concerned. I'm bud and I think I talked about this last time I was here is that I'm old enough to have been around to seeing some moves of the spirit in the ages. I was part of a move of the holy spirit wear our church group, from 30 to 300 in about two and a half years. We saw it go through extraordinary thing. We saw a hunt with a hundred young people in that church at that time and God was moving powerfully and significantly and across the nation. That when you church is springing out golfers doing stuff with 57 thousand Christians out on the streets of London Marching for Jesus, and there's a real sense of life and vitality and we believed we were on the Move, we were even singing songs. Like, you know, now is the time for us to March upon the land and into our hands, he will get the ground. Free climb movie s, going for it and believing it and some have somewhere we lost their way and that move of the spirit dissipated in the 90s, it was another move at the Spirit of that came out of Toronto, the refreshing when God came again. I didn't some of us having count as we've got a spirit option as powerfully as many of us spending hours. Some of us laughing till we couldn't hardly breathe at sides, 8 to buy spirit. What do we do? We turned it into a self-indulgent seeking, a personal blessing. When the anointing of God was upon us to take that joy out there where people are in need where, where, where people are struggling and we missed it and I'm too old to miss this one. I'm so there's a bug in my heart and I heard it in the songs of this morning. I cry to God. God. Oh God. Come and meet us and not just a try but but but I'm Longing To See God come and to move by his spirit, and I've been in, I've been in a lot of prayer meetings. This last month, I don't know if you've been aware of the prayer movement across the country or whether you be proud of it. Particularly, but let's be massive Fred going on in the church, like, I've been in Ministry since 1970 last forever, right? And I've never seen or Paul of such, a concerted, intense deliberate intentional prayer movement. Like, I've experienced the last month, where where across The nation people are crying out to God for a turning to God. Steve Apple, put something good about turning back the, the battle, turning the back around. And we would guy that out at church is up in Northeast at 6. That's what I've moved to now, we gathering together and hundreds of people came together to cry out to God. That what speak on this island, Revival will not dissipate and disappear but will become a full-blown move of the Holy Spirit and that we will be a positive and Nehemiah has grabbed our attention. I don't know what, you know about the book of Nehemiah or the man near my up at he was a remarkable here in the Old Testament. He was an old reply with a job and used to bring the wine to the king. He was the king's cupbearer in Babylon and AAA used to bring wine to the to the king. So I think it was a pretty good job. I think there was some significance about it. So I think he was pretty well paid and pretty comfortable in Babylon and doing well, and boy, was in the king's presence every day and he hears that the walls of Jerusalem a broken down. He hears that Jerusalem is broken without rules in those days, Assisi was defenseless helpless hopeless, and the Wolf sweat with this trouble, they'd they'd be broken down for so long and nobody was doing anything about it. And he was hearing of the tragedy of what was happening in Jerusalem, because the rules were broken down. So, what did he do? Eero electric. Now, he didn't write a letter. He can you call a petition together? No you didn't get a petition together. What did he do? He got on his face before God. And in the end my want it says he wet many days and fostered as he cried out to God because of the state of Jerusalem because the rules were broken down and I was a broken-down friends. Hey I mean it's every day on the news the national health is broken, the justice system is broken. There's no hope for this. There's no hope for that. The police is struggling to contain and maintain that everything is broken. Broken down the walls of society of broken down. Family is broken down. Its broken down, it's broke.

And that's the urgency. I think that the prayer that we've been praying God, our nation is broken down the Wolves of broken down and we cry out to you. God, we called upon your name. How do you spy of the moves of the spirit that are occurring and the people that are coming to Jesus, we have got to go up again, we have got to have got to gear up. I'm we've got to we've got to get involved and not just Rejoice. That good stories are happening in other places but determined that the Wolves of Agra Runnymede stains, whatever you you're cool, this area, all going to be built up and that to God, he's going to take hold of us. His people. And that's why he's favor is upon us and that's why he's going to work for us, so that we can be a part of the Also, to the wolves that are broken down. I'm so there is this Jewel thing there is God coming because he hears the Cry of broken people and stirring up his church again and then there is the Cry of the need. That is touching our hearts and we beginning to cold upon the name of the Lord just as near my a date. And he cried out as many days and I've been in Chapter 2 of Nehemiah. I think I'm probably just not going to bother with me at the screen keeps disappearing. Move away from me so long, but I do want to talk about the things that I see happened when they prayed. I know I've just written down some extraordinary things that happened. That's the people cried out to go. But God heard the cry. Did you hear the cry in the songs? We sang cuz it was there. Now, I don't know if that's why they were chosen, but I kept seeing it and and and they were number things that happen. God responded to that kind of Brian by the first thing that happened was extraordinary favor. Nehemiah goes into the king's Presence at his miserable cuz of what he's heard about Jerusalem. That Nehemiah has the guy who wrote the joy of the Lord is your strength. So I believe that as well. So I guess he was as miserable as you can be here with the joy of the Lord in your heart. I don't know how that works. Exactly. But it was Heavy with the burden of what was happening in Jerusalem and the King sees it. Now, you got to remember those days. The king had. Absolute power is like one of our national leaders, not know how National date of internationally does. He thinks he has absolute power and he can say what he likes and do what he likes with that Chic in in those days. And if the king said off with your head, it was off with your head. Remember the story of esta, she said, pray for me, cuz I'm going to go before The King and I asked for his help and she was the queen. And if the king had said clear, all fall off with, I had that would have been it. So they prayed intensely for 3 days. And I am when she went to the king, he held out the SEPTA 20 which makes that he granted us favor but she could have actually been done away with and that's why when the king said to to Nehemiah why you're so miserable, I guess if he, if he living to die and you were supposed to pull, you could understand that while he was miserable. But anyway,

pick the king says why you miserable and this is what it says Nehemiah was terrified

He was terrified because the king had absolute power to do whatever he wanted with Nehemiah. And if he wasn't happy that Nehemiah was miserable, he could have lost more than his job. He could have lost his life. He's terrified. And then, the king says, what's going on then? And Nehemiah shares. The burden of his heart and begins to speak about all the stuff that's going on in Jerusalem. Why it's made him sad. And he says this in their my two, but he says, the gracious hand of the Lord is upon me. The favor of God see he's prayed. He spent time seeking the face of God calling upon God and the favor of God is upon him and so he asks if he can be released to go in a rebuild the walls. And then the king says yeah I'd like this and then it says he didn't stop crying cuz he done. He's supposed to be understood the ongoing night during the importance of prayer. And I guess he knew that Bible verse in for a penny in for a pound, how do you felt left out? I might as well go for it then. And so he says, well, I'd like to go back and I'd like the wood and I'd like this. And if you drop me letters a favor and he says, and the gracious hand of God was upon me these, I knew days for us the church friends. The authorities, the powers that be at being against us in the suppressed us and put us down and denied us a favor but God is coming again. We five but you know I read last week in the in the local paper I moved to North Essex and there's a paper that includes Essex Norfolk and Suffolk and there was a report from the church and Evangelical Church in theorem in Norfolk and diaper in plants to replenish their bills and do it up, make it more accessible and things like that, and the council at sent the plans back to them. And not telling them down, they said, the plans back to them and they said, we hear that people are becoming Christians, particularly young people are becoming Christians, and there's a new interest in the Bible. Can we suggest that you send in bigger plans for a bigger building to serve a community? That's the secular Council of theater, haha. The gracious hand of God was upon me. I went we going to see the gracious hand of God that you're going to see the gracious hand of God. You're going to see the gracious hand of God. We have got to take courage. We got to get serious about this stuff to do in the mission down. If I come from Southampton up in that, I was there for 30 years until December and the Christian very good Evangelical. Strong Christian union, with doing a mission and I want you to bring a box and the Student Union refused and, you know, that the old one to have it. So they prayed and I called on God and they, they got serious about it and made representation. And the Student Union decision was reversed because there was absolutely no reason for them to do that. And so the favor of God Came Upon them in the mission was held. Wake, it was very very successful. You're not mad at you.

So that's a new day. And we can expect to see change and we mustn't be fearful. Do you know what they say when the Iron Curtain fell in 1990, in the countries that depend on to call Manish depression release? They didn't know what to do cuz they don't even know. And how to offer right on the persecution and the lack of favor. I might didn't know how to handle this. Wonderful freedom. But we got to be careful that we don't, we don't make our decisions based on the way that people reacted, to us. Five years. Do 10 years ago, it's a new day. There's an openness and an emptiness and an awareness of the tremendous need of that. We have right across society and I know that we have enough answer, we believe we have the answer but these are Days of Favor and we can expect the extraordinary hand of God to be upon us. So I could tell you stories about that by and got time. The second thing is, it doesn't mean we stop trying the need for ongoing prayer. I love the way that that Nehemiah in the presence of the king shoots up one of those prayers. So he says a prayer to the god of Heaven. And the King says, what do you want then soak? What is the first thing you do? It doesn't list the whole thing. Tracy, cries out to God, we going to find Cells in those situations and God's going to come to us. But but we need to understand the importance of maintaining the stumps of prep. We need to cry until God comes. I don't know if you remember that NG or whatever out of the word push. Pray until something happens, keep praying, that's very biblical. That's what Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 and he said off IMAX in the present, continuous tense, and keep on asking. Seek and keep on seeking. I've done it the wrong way around, have not and you will receive seek and you will find people knocking and the door will be open.

Don't give up. We go to press through and keep praying until God comes until this silent Revival. Until this new fresh interest in the things of God, until this whole generation of young. People is his tops by the presence and power of God. And then the third thing, that happens when you pray. And when do we get serious about this is opposition with constantly in this in this Paradigm of a favor, I know position. As soon as the church gets off his backside and gets active and begins to make an impact, the enemy comes in. So, a long time, these wonderfully, nine guys are freaked out and then

They're out there who are all like oh yes. Sanballat the horror night into by the ammonite.

The enemies of the people of God, rise up, you will experience opposition. Don't don't put your head above the parapet. If you're apart, unless you're willing to be shot that cuz the enemy will come, they will be precious. That will be opposition.

But when the favor of God is upon you, the off position files and in this case, and lighter in the chapter and right through the book, The Enemy came and did his best to stop what God wanted to do and what God has put in the heart of Nehemiah. But nothing a note plan of the enemy succeeded, we must be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. We must have be ignorant that he's going to try and bring us down. He's going to try and told us. He's going to discourage us from within and without don't be one of those from which we don't do that, cuz that'll never happen. Yeah, so it's not like it used to be whatever. Huh.

Don't be wanting with poses. What God is about to do that. Be one of these used by the enemy, God wants to come and change us and do something dramatic and Powell. If you know the story fully about the story ends in 52 days, the rules have been broken down for 140 years,

They rebuilt the house of the Lord, 58 years before, so they got the church, but the church had affected the city. And we the judge in the nation, have hardly affected, the sexy, all the cities where gold has put us. But when people get stood up, and when God comes in the favor of God is coming upon us, that it doesn't matter what the opposition is. God will work for us on a p, how I mean 52 days off the 58 years. The Wolves will fail and it's an extraordinary miraculous, unbelievable story and God's got to do it, but it comes out of a people, a vision of people that was stood up in the, am I 211? This is remarkable versus me. And Mike I was back to to Jerusalem and he he he goes around the city on East on the donkey cult4ever. It was a mixture of holes in dong cake and he says these words, I had not told anyone about the plans, God has put in my heart that you release them put in his heart plant. I want to tell you if you start seeking God, God will put plans in your hall. You start getting serious about the Wolves a broken-down. God. Are you up?

30 years ago, In-N-Out Church in Southampton, a lady, got the real Budden about the abortion issue. And she came to the ladies of the church and said, what are you going to do about this issue of abortion? Cuz it's wrong. And God is not pleased, and we need to do something about it. And so they said we'll go and pray and come back to us. Tell us what God says to you. Since you went away by this house that was broken down and began to seek the face of God and God put in a heart, I plan a strategy and she came back and she said, I don't want to start a petition to try and change laws. In government said, I believe we need to do something at the Grass Roots is. I believe we need to set off a Pregnancy Crisis Center. So they set off of Pregnancy Crisis Center. And the first week, it was open a woman who was expecting to have an abortion and intending to have an abortion, even change their mind and got saved. And she still in the church that I, I can take you to a an, over the years, thousands of women, I've had their minds changed and it's not a pretty Chat thing. It said, what it says, a Pregnancy Crisis, you know, if you're pregnant, you don't know what to do, for counseling, and they've got to be open and honest, and present, the thing, fairly, but thousands of women. I've not had an abortion as a result of that Pregnancy Crisis Center. And as a result of that one Pregnancy Crisis Center. Listen to this 63 Pregnancy Crisis centers have opened around the country. I meant under the calf. Okay, are you got it? You know, the Christian that that because you got too big for a little group of people that have any child under the under the calf and internationally. I think there are 15 Nations weather report. Agency crisis centers that came out of one woman, crying out to God because of an area where she saw the woods with broken down.

Family. Health. Education. Young people struggling with mental health.

Your knife is lonely, loneliness is absolutely as an epidemic of loneliness, right? Across the nation.

If you get serious about seeking the face of God like this, God will put into your heart. Did you already put something in your heart?

I might be already if you some of yours. I know I could never do that. That's how I felt. That's why he was terrified because he didn't know how to make cement let alone build a wall.

God put it into his heart.

And in the most extraordinary remarkable way God raised him out. Gave him all that, he needed, huh? And and in 52 days, he completed the task that God put in is how what, what's go putting into your heart.

You can't seriously think his face without him putting something into your heart. This is the result of

seeking the face of God, who,

You're not upset with an old man.

But I'm in the still love people older than me. And this guy was well into his eighties had apparently been in the building trade, all this life. I need to learn all the different tribes in, he playing around all that. We had a particular try, you did learn how to do electric book, and gas work and he'd learn everything. You know, I sat with him and he's late 80s. How do you said to me? Do you know I'd like to have done

He said I would like to have taken an old broken-down house. And restored it and repair. These alcohol, the scale is nobility. He said I'd love to have done that. And then you said these words, but it's too late now.

It's too late. Now. I spent some time with the guy killed Myles. Munroe. A few years ago he used to say the richest place in the in the world is the graveyard.

Cuz it's full of Unwritten books paintings that way. Whenever painted business ideas that died with the person who had the vision and he said the richest place. And the world is the graveyard. Without seeing that Vision fulfilled, it might be for business. It might be that God wants to put you in in, in the, in the place. Where you connect with people that we never even see.

Might be that go Bunch. It be prime minister. Have at that a island that I wouldn't mind that. Yeah.

What's God put in your heart?

Cuz you cry out to God because you say the broken Wars. God puts into your heart and vision a dream what he wants to do and then it goes as this massive challenge of 5. You know how this massive challenge to see this thing happen. Nehemiah comes back from his trip. Around the walls in chapter 32 told the officials in the people about what he was doing. And so he comes back and he calls the people together and he begins to share with the division that he's gone. He shares with them. The favor of God that's upon him and he challenges the people in life, they respond in the most incredible. Why is Diane of the hand of God upon me and Maya? They respond to the challenge and they say yes we will do it? Yes, we will rise to the challenge. Yes, I told them about my conversation with the King and I replied at once. I love that. Yes. Let's rebuild the wall so they began the good work, you know. And and then finally cuz time is gone near my says I replied the god of heaven will help us succeed without that.

He says that God cuz he knows he is not bill. But he's fight that he's confident there in this. God has put his vision into his house cuz he knows his own strength to buy. Hold his own efforts with all the skills and abilities. He possesses. He can't do this says, God will help us to succeed. Faith in God causes him to rise to the challenge and we count do it guys. We really do it.

But God he's calling us. God, he's speaking to it. God is putting things in our haha, unless we respond to him, I just we received the vision that he wants to give us individual and corporate leaders. God speaks through the leadership of running me, Christian fellowship and inspires you with a vision is over these flags of the Nations. Around the world was just caught my eye. People from all of those Nations represented here as part of this judge. This area is representative of that the nation of come here. You call to razor a phenomenal. Holy Spirit, when you come holy spirit with you move, holy spirit. Will you will you put into our hearts visions and dreams? We can give us the courage to take the mon. Will you move by your spirit in this place? In an extraordinary way we call upon your name right now? How do you spell It? Come, Holy Spirit, can the worship team, play? One of those songs that we sang today, that Express this cry to God for, for him to come for his presents and his power to Garmin, you know, that's just out. Lord, I don't want to, I don't want to get to the end of my life and say it's too late. Go. This is the day of opportunity. This is the day when you're working, this is the day when you're moving. No, I'm just offering ourselves on 77. I don't believe in God, that he's got something new and fresh for my wife, and I will be praying every night you moved us out to this place in Essex all the way. We know we have a purpose for reason.
