1 Corinthians 6:19–20 ESV

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Romans 14:7–8 ESV

7 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

Opposition will arise as Jesus works. Be discerning to stay loyal.

Political opposition

Family opposition - He’s crazy. (Opposition always has an element of truth but expands it to be bigger than it is.)

Religious opposition

He’s doing the miracles through deceptive, illegitimate means

How do you not commit the sin against the Holy Spirit?

Know the Word to know God.

Look at creation and the Exodus and then to the cross and the resurrection and build from there.

Piling on

Finishing the trip - Where else can we go? You have the words of eternal life.

Drawing encouragement from faithful people rather than flashy ones

Romans 1:16 ESV

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Endurance is essential in following Jesus. Will you seek to endure?
