Old Business

Budgets and Procedures

Everyone is begin given a calendar, budget for their committees, a list of committees, and instructions for receipts

You are responsible for keeping up with your own budgets.

Budget line items that are spent should be approved by your committees before spending

There is a procedure for turning in receipts.

Please be sure the line item, date, amount, and a brief description are included with your receipts.

receipts must be turned in within the week they are purchased.

Reimbursement checks must have dual signatures which means

that they cannot be given the same time you turn in your receipts.

Committees

You should be meeting with your committee regularly

Please refrain from making unilateral decisions

it not only hurts the integrity of the committee structure

it also hurts the potential for someone else to minister correctly.

Calendar

The calendar you received is worthless.

this, much lie our budgets are a guide.

The moment they are printed, they become obsolete.

That means if you have a change of date, time, or location

for your meeting, event, or otherwise,

please check with the church office before assuming the

time slot and room locations are clear.

Same goes for the van reservations.

New Business

Rocky Point Christian Academy

We have officially been signed off by the state to have a new school.

Please realize this means a few things

The rooms at the end of the hallways may look differently

when the school year begins.

Also, those rooms will be shared with by both the school and the church

If something gets out of place during your time in that class

please don’t get bent out of shape.

This also involves scheduling.

The school may have needs to use facilities during the week and in the evenings.

Again, please check with the church office before

scheduling an event

or changing an event.

Hispanic Ministry

The application for the visa number will take about 6 months to a year.

and then assigning a visa number to Patricio and his family

will take a total of 5-7 years more.

Since receiving that information

I have sent letters to all three of our NC congressmen

and are currently working with Senator Thom Tillis’s office

to see if the visa application and number

can be expedited somehow.

Joe “Currie” Wells is the Associate pastor of Redemption Fellowship

And I have asked Currie to be the lead person

to train us how to reach the folks in our community.

He will help by leading an ESL class beginning March 31st.

Information about the class is being put together.

Promotion for the class is already in motion.

The Hispanic ministry will use the Youth Building on Tuesday nights for the class.

This is just another example of why there needs to be communication

for any changes in the schedule for committees and events.

Member Meeting February 22.

Please have reports ready for the member meeting.

There is no reason why we cannot have reports to the office

prior to the meeting.

Reports from the various committees are reporting for

the previous quarter.

It’s all historical information.

If you are able to have them sent electronically,

please send them to [e-mail]

Typed reports are also acceptable.
