SECTION I — KINGDOMS THAT RISE (Daniel 7:1–8, 17)

Scripture Reading
Daniel 7:1–8 Daniel 7:17
Daniel 7:1–8 MEV
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his mind while on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters. Daniel spoke and said: I saw in my vision by night the four winds of the heaven striving upon the Mediterranean Sea. Four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse from one another. The first was like a lion and had eagle’s wings. I watched until its wings were plucked and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. Another beast appeared, a second, like a bear, and it raised itself up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said to it, “Arise, devour much flesh.” After this I looked and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a fowl. The beast also had four heads. And dominion was given to it. After this I saw in the visions at night a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and exceedingly strong. And it had great iron teeth. It devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, when there came up among them another little horn before whom three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
Daniel 7:17 MEV
“These great beasts, which are four, are four kings which shall arise out of the earth.
Teaching + Fire Bible Insight (Integrated)
Daniel sees beasts, not banners. Scripture does not romanticize human power—it reveals what lies beneath it.
Fire Bible–Style Insight: Biblical prophecy often portrays world empires as beasts because power apart from God eventually dehumanizes. What humans celebrate as progress, God evaluates as spiritual posture.
These kingdoms:
Rise with momentum
Dominate for a season
Decline when their purpose is fulfilled
God identifies them plainly:
“These are kings who will arise from the earth.” (v. 17)
They are earthly in origin and temporary in nature.
Key Teaching Line
“If it’s built by humans, it has an expiration date.”
Pastoral Emphasis
The danger isn’t that kingdoms rise—it’s when God’s people forget that they fall.
Discussion Questions
Why do people tend to trust systems more than God?
What makes a kingdom or institution feel permanent?
Where do you see this tension today (without naming politics)?

SECTION II — THE PROBLEM OF OVERREACH (Daniel 7:19–25; Revelation 13:7–8)

Scripture Reading
Daniel 7:19–25 Revelation 13:7–8
Daniel 7:19–25 MEV
Then I desired to know the truth of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron and its nails of bronze, and which devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet; and of the ten horns that were in its head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell, even of that horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastful words, whose look was more stout than its fellows. I beheld, and the same horn was warring with the saints and prevailing against them until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he said: “The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be different from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth and shall tread it down and break it in pieces. The ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise; and another shall rise after them, and he shall be different from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. He shall speak words against the Most High and shall wear out the saints of the Most High and plan to change times and law. And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.
Revelation 13:7–8 MEV
It was granted to him to wage war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe and tongue and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world.
Teaching + Fire Bible Insight (Integrated)
The “little horn” represents more than a single ruler—it reveals a pattern.
Fire Bible–Style Doctrine: Prophecy often has near and far fulfillments. Immediate historical expressions prepare the way for ultimate end-time realities.
Systems rarely begin evil. They drift:
Authority expands
Accountability diminishes
Allegiance is slowly demanded
Revelation Insight: The beast’s authority is permitted, not absolute. Satan empowers deception, but God governs the timeline.
Clarifying Statement
“Not everything is prophecy fulfilled—but everything should be discerned.”
Pastoral Warning (Balanced)
Discernment is not cynicism. Watchfulness is not fear. The Church resists deception by staying anchored rather than agitated.
Discussion Questions
What are signs that authority has crossed into control?
How can believers stay discerning without becoming cynical?
Where is it hardest to maintain biblical conviction today?

SECTION III — THE KINGDOM THAT REMAINS (Daniel 7:13–14; Hebrews 12:27–28)

Scripture Reading
Daniel 7:13–14 Hebrews 12:27–28
Daniel 7:13–14 MEV
I saw in the night visions, and there was one like a Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven. He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. There was given to Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Hebrews 12:27–28 MEV
And this statement, “Yet once more,” signifies the removal of those things that can be shaken, things that are created, so that only those things that cannot be shaken will remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be moved, let us be gracious, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Teaching + Fire Bible Insight (Integrated)
While beasts rage, Daniel sees the Ancient of Days seated.
God is not reacting—He is ruling.
Then comes the Son of Man.
Fire Bible Christological Insight: Jesus directly applies this passage to Himself (Matthew 26:64 “Jesus said to him, 'You have said so. But I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.'” ).
His Kingdom is:
Eternal
Universal
Righteous
Unshakable
Unlike earthly kingdoms, Christ’s Kingdom:
Is not seized by force
Is not sustained by fear
Is not threatened by instability
Hebrews 12 Insight: God allows shaking so that what is eternal can be revealed.
Encouraging Teaching Line
“The world may feel unstable—but the throne is not.”
Discussion Questions
What does it practically mean to live as citizens of God’s Kingdom?
Where do you feel tempted to trade faithfulness for comfort?
How can the Church model hope instead of fear?

CONCLUSION — LIVING BETWEEN TWO REALITIES

Integrated Fire Bible Truth
Earthly kingdoms rise and fall, but God’s Kingdom advances until all things are restored under Christ.
Reflection Question
Where is God calling me to re-anchor my trust this week?
Closing Prayer Focus
Wisdom
Discernment
Courage to remain faithful
Peace in uncertain times
