The Hidden Truth

How many of you imaged this many teenagers are dealing with pornography within the church
I share these statistics to show those of you who believe that one are the only one going through this.
*NEXT SLIDE* The devil’s plan is to isolate you in your sin and to keep you quite from those that can hold you accountable and guide you to freedom.
Because if the Devil can keep you in darkness, he can keep a hold on you
But we are going to break that today in Jesus’ name.
*NEXT SLIDE* What is sexual immorality: *NEXT SLIDE* The satanic perversion of the natural sexual desire given from God;
Many people believe that sexual desire itself is a sin, but its not. It is a beautiful thing that God placed in every human being. But as the Devil always does, he tries to taint, twist and destroy the beautiful things God has given us.
*NEXT SLIDE*
What are some expressions of sexual immorality:
*NEXT SLIDE* Masturbation, Fornication, Adultery, pornography, promiscuity, homosexuality, trans-gender, pedophilia, beastiality, incest, polygamy.
*NEXT SLIDE*

The Trap:

The deception of the Devil is only two extremes:
*NEXT SLIDE* To shame you enough in your sin to hide,
or to pride you enough to make it your identity. For example:Homosexuality being one of the biggest ones.
Homosexuality often stems from a lack of identity.
And the enemy uses that to plant perverse thoughts in a way that makes them feel like its their “true self” speaking.
And when they start the journey of “discovering themselves,” they are never fully fulfilled because they will never find their God given purpose.
The enemy does the same thing all other areas of sexual immorality. The person addicted to pornography will find their need being meet with the fantasy of what they are experiencing over the screen. The person addicted to sexual promiscuity, will find fulfillment with having sexual partners.
And even when the moment comes when that person is not doing it for them anymore, they will jump to the next person because they have entered of cycle of deception that tells them that that is the only way to feel loved.
*NEXT SLIDE*
What ways can people enter into these traps:
*NEXT SLIDE*
Generational Curses (Parents)
Traumatic events (Sexual Abuse)
Souls Ties (Sexual and Emotional)
Searching for fulfillment in the wrong area

Your Means of Escape:

*NEXT SLIDE*
We need to make the decision to be real about our sin. Not just the fact that we are dealing with it. But the true state of our heart towards our sin. *NEXT SLIDE* The reason why many people are stuck in the cycle of: sin, guilt, repent, repeat is because they are not honest about how they truly feel about their sin. *NEXT SLIDE* The bible says in James 1:14 that the we are tempted by the desires in us. If we are tempted with pornography, masturbation, promiscuity; its because there is a desire in us for it.
Its time we stopped lying to ourselves about us not wanting to sin, and have our hearts break for the truth.
When we tell God, “I hate how this makes me feel,” we say enough to make ourselves feel sorry but not repented. It makes us feel like we are still good with God, but not uncomfortable enough to make us want to change.
But when we tell God, “I hate how this makes YOU feel,” we take our eyes off of ourselves, and back on Jesus; and thats where true repentance begins.
We have said “Jesus forgive me” enough times.
It’s time to start saying “Jesus change me” Its easy to abuse the grace of God and let ourselves slide because we are “sinners” and Jesus forgives us anyways.
Its time we start to acknowledge how much our sin has hurt him.
We need to stop wanting to be forgiven more than we are wanting to be changed. A desire to change comes when the truth comes out of our mouth.
When we speak truth, his Grace gives us the power to change.
The grace of God isn’t just his love to forgive, but his power to set free.
