Discerning of Spirits

Three types of spirits

A) Gods spirit the Holy Spirit

B) Satan’s demonic spirits Counterfit works

C) Mans spirit

Man was made in god image Body, soul, spirit

Body - made from the dust fo the earth

Gr) Mudman sinces; Not saved

earthly carnel things- feel, see ,hear ,taste ,smell

From dust you were created and to dust you will return.

Proverbs 12:15 “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: But he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.”

Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Mans Soul- is being saved- Mind will and emoitions, Mans decision center!

This is why we are told to let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.

Rev. says he that has ears to hear let him hear what the spirit says to the church.

Spirit-Completely saved

2 Corinthians 11:3–4 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled (deception)Eve through his subtilty,(sceams)so your minds should be corrupted

( moral decay)from the simplicity that is in Christ. (Put on the whole armor of God!)

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” In another place paul say’s let them be accursed.

#1) The Holy spirit ,Spirit of God

1 Corinthians 12:4–7 “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” (everyone)

Ephesians 5:8–9 “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)”

fruit of the spirit must be produced by the spirit. It Cant be bought by silver or gold!

Spirit of wisdom & knowledge 1 Cor. 12:8

Spirit of power, 1 Cor. 2:4

Spirit of revelation Eph.1:17-20

Spirit of truth, 1 Cor.12:8

The comforter, guide,Teacher,

Eternal Spirit- Heb.9:14

Spirit of miracles & prophecy,1 Cor. 12:10

Spirit of freedom 2 Cor.3:17 -18

H.G. comes down from heaven (GOD) into the earthly realm for the purpose of fulfilling gods plan in our lives.

OT -The spirit always was and always will be

he came upon people but did not stay!

samson, david, saul these were leaders of God’s

people filled for a period of time and for a specific purpose

NT- The Holy Spirit came upon them and infilled them never to leave. He came to impower beleivers to recieve the devine nature of God enableing them to overcome and be a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Unclean spirits-

Mark 5:2 “And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,”

Spirit of divination- Acts 16:16

Dumb spirit- Mark 9:17-25

Spirit of infirmity- Luke 13:11

Seducing spirits- 1 Tim.4:1

#3) The spirit of a man-

1 Corinthians 2:11–14 “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Galatians 5:16–25 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. (spiritual strong hold) a fortified place from which you fight.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Galatians 6:8 “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

What are you sowing to? What will your harvest look like?

Hosea 10:12 “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground: For it is time to seek the Lord, Till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”

The word says except a seed fall to the ground it abideth alone
