Word study (Romans 9)

Context

God foreknew and predestined us to be conformed to the image of His Son (Jesus)

We cannot be separated from God’s love

Note: Though I am giving the context of the previous chapter, there does seem to be a natural subject change.

Still staying on the topic of salvation, but going from the context of all people to specifically the people of Isreal

V1- 2

that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart.

Paul is

I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying,

my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit,
