Ephesians 2:6-7

The Blessings of God is a constant reminder of His grace.
Reminder that Grace is getting something that you have not earned.
“Amazing Grace” song
God saving us is the first blessing. v.5
He saved us and then raised us.
His grace saved us, and His grace raised us up. He didn’t have to do either, but because of His love for us and His grace extended to us we can have both.
We are raised because Christ was raised. If Christ had not been raised we would have no hope for Heaven.

The two verbs in verse 6 (“raised us up with Christ and seated us with him”) do not refer to future resurrection but to our being raised with Christ in the past, to being “co-resurrected” with Christ. Not only have Christians been raised with Christ, but they have also been seated with him in the heavenly realms. What is true of him (1:20) is true of us.

He raised us up to sit us down.
“The tense of raised and seated indicates that these are immediate and direct results of Salvation. “ - John MacArthur
He has seated us in a place of authority. The authority is not of our own making nor based on us. It comes from God, by God and for God.
Part of the authority we have is to not let sin rule over us. You know have Resurrection Power living inside of you.
The Tony Evans Bible Commentary IV. Saved to Serve (2:1–10)

Paul said previously that Jesus was seated in the heavenly places with resurrection power and dominion (1:20–21). Now he says God relocated us there too in Christ Jesus. Believers are participants with Christ in this spiritual reality. We are linked with him, and given a place of governmental authority in the spiritual realm. This is how you have access to your spiritual privileges—to “every spiritual blessing” (1:3)—that God has placed in your account.

“Salvation of course is very much for the believer’s blessing, but it is even more for the purpose of eternally glorifying God for bestowing on believers His endless and limitless grace and kindness. The whole of heaven glorifies Him for what He has done in saving sinners.” - John MacArthur
